Gogo Virginia!

Post by Kelshara »

RICHMOND, Va. Feb 8, 2005 — Virginians who wear their pants so low their underwear shows may want to think about investing in a stronger belt.

The state's House of Delegates passed a bill Tuesday authorizing a $50 fine for anyone who displays his or her underpants in a "lewd or indecent manner."

The people wearing their pants low are the least likely to have 50.00 to shell out for a fine...can't wait for all of the complication and compounded legal issues these people run into after the initial 50.00 fine goes unpaid.

I couldn't care less about this... I'd rather not see some slob walking around with their pants almost down to their knees...

On the other hand, what about people in swimsuits? Those reveal a good bit more than someone with their boxers showing over the top of their jeans.

Bikini's and so on.

No, Drog. Those laws would affect people old enough to vote.

I was at the grocery store the other day, this goob had his pants so far down you could see air gap between his trouser waistband and the crotch of his (dirty) boxers. They wouldn't let him in the store in a swimsuit, don't think this is any different.

Funny part was watching him try to walk with the crotch of his shorts below knee level :p

...the bill "was in direct response to a number of my constituents who found this to be a very important issue."

He has said the constituents included customers at his barber shop who were offended by exposed underwear.
It looks dumb as shit and people who go around looking like that are retards. But I don't really see how it's offensive.

Im glad is was reversed. Any move toward a pantless society is a good one.

However, I would assume wearing your pants down to your knees is kinda ackward. Why not just tie a rubber band around your legs and walk like a penguin.

I was walking into a mall a couple of years ago and a mother dropped off her son. Just when he met up with his friends, she yells out, "Chris, you're not going inside until you pick your pants up! Pick them up right now!"
Kid could have crawled under a rock he was so embarassed. Everybody around the area started cracking up. Just a beautiful scene

Sure it might make you look like a retard. That's not what you said though, you said it makes you a retard.

Regardless it's pretty irrelevant.

It looks retarded for sure. Not something a person should be fined for though. If people want to go around looking like an asshole, it's their right. It's also businesses, schools, etc. right to not allow them in :)

Irrelevant.. But it's a slow day today.

I contend that if you go out of your way to make yourself look like a retard by wearing pants that hang half way down your ass, then yes, you are in fact a retard.

I hope that clarifies things for you.

Does anyone know if wearing your pants low started soon after OJ's glove that didn't fit? Could it be a subconscious thing that if they commit a crime and lose their pants in the process, that they can claim they don't fit later on?

If the pants don't fit, you must acquit!

Ya'll didn't hear this didn't actually make it into law?

We did. And in this very thread! But seems a lot of people didn't actually read the whole thread.
