smithing/mining

Post by Avestan »

Anyone know of a good resourse that breaks down good mining locations and the best plans to use to level up these tradeskills?

I have been running all over the world trying to notch my mining after I dropped skinning and some places have turned out to be much better than others. Right now, I am trying to find silver and iron, but I am also curious what the perceived best places for copper and tin are.

I am also curious what people think the fastest way to notch smithing is (other than buying a ton of copper bars at the AH)

A good place to find any bars is http://wow.allakhazam.com/

Go to item search and scroll down to Copper/Tin/Iron whatever deposit you searched. This brings up a list of zones for finding that mineral. Click view map and thus you get the highest concentration of it. Usually in NPC mines (such as Iron in Hillsbrad with the Yeti's)

You can normally clean off a well developed area, head on to another and go back after a bit for respawns.

I got my mining up to iron level fairly easy.
