I would have thought the part of President Bush wanting and inviting help from the Democrats, and then being boo'd was more indicitive of what I meant by my favorite saying comment.

Aruman, he was just pointing out the fact that you can't say those comments about the Dems without saying the same thing about the Reps. You seem to have double-standards right now.

What the Dems did was wrong and childish, but so were the righties 5 years ago.

Maybe so, but even if that was the case... What does what happened 5 years ago have to do with today?

What struck me the most was Kerry, sitting in the audience, looked pissed off... like all he was thinking was 'That should be me up there... how did I lose... I'll show him...'

The President is up in front of a national audience, and asks for help from the Democrats on the Social Security thing how can the Democrats have the gall to boo the President?

Makes me wonder why the Democrats can't figure out why they are losing seats and losing presidential elections. People probably see a mass of whiny, spoiled brats throwing temper tantrums.

Is it so hard to try to try to work with the President on the issue instead of being 'asshats'. President Bush left the whole SS thing open to discussion and the Democrats are being knuckleheads.

By the way, I'd be saying the same thing if a Democrat was president and the Republicans treated him this way, so don't even try to flip the situation.

Hmmm bet they didn't see it turning out like this, Gogo Iranian backed Political Parties, this should go over like a lead balloon if they win a clear outright majority. We were counting on no party having a majority with so many parties running... this could be really ugly

Aruman, i was merely pointing out the factual innacurracy of your statement.

if you dont want people to point out factual inaccuracies in your posts, I suggest not making them.

As for whether or not I think booing the president is appropriate or inappropriate, I think in this case it isnt a big deal because Bush was misrepresenting the truth.

Your broader point is this is a sign of the Democrats being in disarray and being pathetic.

In general, I think the Democratic party is in desperate need of some new leadership, and a lot of messaging that is more relevant to today's political climate. And more or less there is a lot of disarray and patheticness going on in their ranks

Heh, I agree with that. It almost seems like he has been throwing a tantrum in the last few weeks.

This notion that the president shouldn't be booed is silly. They didn't vote for him, why shouldn't they be allowed to express their opinion? They're representatives of those who elected them, and I can almost assure you that most of those people would be booing too.

Should be happy that for once politicians stated the truth!
