Mussel, Razor Clam and Rockfish recipes?

Post by Canelek »

I plan on heading out to Garibaldi or Tillamook Bay sometime this week and am hoping to bring home at least some of the following:

Razor Clams
Mussels

and if lucky, some ling cod, green ling and rock bass....

Any good recipes yall have to share, just in case?

Cioppino comes to mind of course... :D

I would go out there today if the tides were better....gotta wait a few days, so today is STEELHEAD DAY!

Mussels

1 cup white wine
1 c vermouth
2 tbsp chopped basil
1 tbsp garlic
chives

fry the garlic in scant olive oil, deglaze with vermouth, add mussels and cream, cook, top with chopped chives

A quick easy one cause I am off to work

Add the cream, drink the wine, gotcha. ;) Thanks! I think the tides will be good for later this week, but I need to consult the charts. At the very least, there are some fat mussels to be had along the jetties should the fishing be poor.

0/0 on steelies today, so I am jonesing to get some fresh fish...
