Failed suicide kills 10 others, injures 180

Yesterday in Glendale, CA... This suicidal guy attempts to kill himself 3 times... first he slashes his wrists, probably the wrong way... then he stabs himself... and then he decides to park on the railroad tracks and get hit...

This asshole gets out of the SUV in time to avoid the whole accident, but the train hits the SUV, the back of the train actually fishtails on the rails, and hits the train on the other track, they both derail and cause a lot of carnage... 10 people dead, 180 injured... and this guys going to be charged with murder.

they should just finish what he started... and quickly...

Because of intent to derail the train, California law permits extending that act to "attempted murder" of anybody on that train.

which i think is a very logical thing.

This asshole really pisses me off....

He wanted to kill himself.... and he just killed 10 people. He quite possibly has caused suicidal thoughts in 10 more families...

He just opened a tab at the bar California, and he's already racked up probably half a million dollars of insurance damage, and probably as much for the police investigation that is ongoing. Then he's going to be fed and housed for the rest of his natural life at the expense of California tax payers....

all because he was too fucking weak to jump off a cliff, blow his own brains out, or cut his wrists the right way... or how about just standing in front of the train?...

so i guess with all this abortion resistance, suicide centers are a way off?..

That was one of my initial thoughts on this too. This isn't quite as high on the scale as disabling power stattions/grids in northeastern North America for cost/chaos ratio but the impact is shows how vulnerable we can be to these sorts of actions.

The next question I have is will he get off on some sort of mental defect thing because he was semi-suicidal?

Curious, is it actually possible to prove his intent was to derail the train? Has he admitted it? Not had time to read too much about this..

he wanted to kill himself but he pussied out. something as small as a penny can derail a train. his intent was prolly not to kill others just himself, but it doesn't take rocket science to know what happens when you put something between a train and the tracks.

this guy needs to be locked up for life.

Py and I live in Glendale, both of us within 8 blocks of the crash. There are still news choppers all over the place, like over my place. They are loud and I just want some sleep now thx.

IMO, The guy should have just stayed in his car. Since he didn't, I hope he gets all they can throw at him.
