Wearing a shirt that says, "I Kill Jews" would carry the exact same effect. Neither are fit for parties, luncheons, sexual encounters, death regalia, or, for that matter, any other time in the day or night. Of course, as part of the obsolete royalty he has been given everything he wants in life. Small wonder he doesn't have any regard for history or the atrocities committed by the Nazis. To him, it was no doubt just a cool costume.

Both Harry and William are old enough to know what a fucking Nazi uniform means to the general public. This is a stupid costume for a normal person to wear, let alone one of the princes of England. Was I personally offended? No, but I do think that on the list of costumes to wear that are in poor taste, the Nazi uniform, or a mockup of a Nazi uniform is quite close to the top.
Bottom line is, he should have known better, and there are people that will always associate him with this unless he does a FUCKLOAD of volunteer/community service type work to show that he's not some kind of racist asshole.
It was just a bad, bad decision, and I refuse to entertain any argument that at 22 years old, he didn't know better and understand what that symbol means to people all over the world.

problem is, they already do OMGIAMRETARDEDCAUSEALOTISTWOWORDS of public service/charity but it's all set up by their family as a public spectacle. they are both spoiled brats.

I agree that it was an extremely poor decision made by Harry and that in reality he and his brother are just two spoiled brats that probably can't even spell charity...
However, I think people are blowing this way out of proportion. I bet if he had put on a costume depicting Josef Stalin (who murdered more people than the nazis), it wouldn't have made the front page of any newspaper anywhere. Being jewish myself, I don't find it offensive at all what he did - misguided, but not offensive. We as a global society should be able to move past all this crap and make fun of the unfortunate events that have occured in our history with a humorous tone.
I think the media is twisting this and blowing it way overboard...

I agree with Fesuni, I think it's totally blown out of proportion. Should he have know how the people would react... yea so he shouldn't have done it. However people wear things that are, IMHO, a lot more offensive to parties.
I would also agrue that being a Nazi dosen't equate with "I kill Jews" it may equate with "my IQ is below 80" but just because you are ignorant dosen't mean you support mass murder. As Fes noted, Stalin killed 3 times as many people but I doubt anyone would have noticed if he had won't a Stalin costume.
It was a party, it was a joke... I believe you can joke about almost anything. People need to relax... he didn't say I am a Nazi, he just wore a party to a costume.

It was a stupid thing for any "celebrity" to do. The guy down the street that likes to work on his beat up truck on Sundays wearing a nazi costume to a party wouldn't be getting this kind of flack. Basically Harry is a problem, he's shown in the past that he's a spoiled kid.
Ordering him to visist Auschwitz is silly tho. Public apology should have been enough. I somehow doubt he's a nazi 4 tru.

And yeah, with the possibility of offending every monarchy in europe (including denmark), dont forget that the monarchy more or less are the results of a 300+ years of inbreeding, they cant help it

Don't put all European royalty on the same level as the British. The British royalty is a soap opera and I wouldn't support them for a minute. I will, however, gladly stand behind the Norwegian royal family. They do way more good for the country than bad.
Oh and visiting Auschwitz is probably a good idea.. I wish all young people would get a chance to do that.

Euros are obsessed with there royalitys personal lives as americans are with celebritys, hell some countrys even let those shits be in charge of the armed forces and approve political presidential canidates during the primarys

scandinavian royalty has always had a good reputation though, from what i understand they do a lot to help the country and the people there are civilized enough to not really give a shit about there personal lives

Your royalty is a joke too and I don't even know where you're from! Royalty as a whole is the only group of people that beat out our rednecks for the most inbred title award.Kelshara wrote:Royalty is a joke in England. As I said, ours do way WAY more good for the country than bad. For goodness sake, saying all Royalty is the same is as stupid as saying all Americans are like Midnyte.
You are correct. I don't read the the articles about the world's royalty squeezed between a new Elvis sighting and a picture of the latest overweight washed up hollywood star in the Enquirer.Kelshara wrote:Well that shows how much thought and research you put into your posts. No surprise there though, your posts are usually at the Midnyte/Cartalas level.

wtf IS royalty anyway? i do a lot of good too. i'm sure a lot of you do as well. i don't need a stupid crown to do it. unless they are actually ruling and making decisions for the country, royalty is nothing but a bunch of stuck up spoiled babies, who by their title and lineage, claim they are better than you.

America has their royalty; they all work in Hollywood.
The only thing that's different is it's not all based on birthright, though a lot is.. Gwenyth, etc.

Well I can tell you about our Royal family: They bring in more money for the country than they cost us.. WAY more. I read the numbers a long time ago but can't for the life of me remember how much it was. Big businesses back home thank them every year for opening new markets, being ambassadors and representatives for the country.nobody wrote:wtf IS royalty anyway? i do a lot of good too. i'm sure a lot of you do as well. i don't need a stupid crown to do it. unless they are actually ruling and making decisions for the country, royalty is nothing but a bunch of stuck up spoiled babies, who by their title and lineage, claim they are better than you.
Not only are they great ambassadors for businesses, but we actually have a nice royal family that are good ambassadors for the country in general. They aren't like the British royal family at all. They don't have any political power (except for some stuff which is pure tradition and nothing else), but I'd vote to keep them around any day. They are not attention hungry like some, they don't frequent gossip magazines (we don't really have that many of those in the first place, most people just laugh at gossip crap) and are very down to earth people.
Are you going to reveal where you're from at some point on this thread? I know it's one of the scandinavian countries but not which one.

When you live a life of unbridled privelege paid for by the taxpayer and have recent ancestors with a patchy record when it comes to the nazis, the least you can do is not be a prick. Have these people not noticed the invention of the camera mobile phone? You are always going to be caught out.
