It is fake.
Not only is the scale wrong, but there are a number of problems with the image. The tsunami would follow a number of steps, the first would be the loud noise and erratic animal behavior, the second would be the water retreating from shore, the third would be a massive surge (white water) pouring in, and finally a massive swell. Waves that break in a curl like that do so a show a tell-tale sign of the empty space (air) behind them. A tsunami isn't a conventional wave, it is more like a massive "step" from one sea level to another so the front becomes shaped more like a moving slope with a massive surge moving along its front.
Ignoring the science and looking at the image itself as a peice of artwork, one can see the problems with the image. The wave is clearly not to scale, and the superimposed wave has surge and spray of a wave of much smaller scale (look at the spray coming up on the road). There are blurry areas where the water has been superimposed (again, look along the road). The directional lighting on the water does not appear to be consistent with that of the city (although it is very subtle and hard to tell). As Fash pointed out, the wave in that image is several hundred feet tall if the height of the nearby buildings is anything to go by. And finally, I don't think that anyone seeing such a monster wave approaching would carry on driving along the road in such an orderly lazy fashion right up unto the wave crashed into them.

Fake.
I'm no scientist, but I believe water is pulled away (and have heard radio reports that one of the things that happened was nearby people flocked to the beach because the water was pulled away) before a huge wave.. the huge wave is what would have hit, not a smaller one followed by a larger one of such a difference in size.
Least that's my limited understanding of it. Either way, it's a fake.

Fake.
A tsunami / tidal wave does not "curl" it's a moving wall of water. There is clearly a tube in that shot. Also, it's way too big and traffic is not freaking out. Probably other things to point out but I don't have the time

Fake .. the Tsunami was more of a series of swells that never subsided and eventually became a torrent.
That photoshopped picture is a Metro Goldwyn Mayeresque snap of what we all envisioned a Tsunami looking like before we say the footage of what we now know a Tsunami looks like.
Also, I've always been fascinated by sharks and how this wave would effect sharks and their equalibreum. I was researching thsi at the library when this hottie was tossing vibes my way and I knew I had to have her.
I checked out the two books on SHarks and her and her friend were waiting for me in the parking lot, they wanted to get high and head over to theior place. I turned them down because I didn;t want to be considered easy. Too many women find me ....
