Went into three stores (Best Buy, Game Stop, Fry's) looking for a copy of WoW last night with no success. The salesperson in the MMOG section at Fry's laughed when I asked for it, there was a huge empty area where it was supposed to go.

"Perhaps you'd like this instead? We've just marked it down $10..." and hands me one of well over 200 copies of EQ2 they had in a massive end display.

If you get real desperate......

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/242464.asp

Other than that, I've been helping a RL buddy look for one for 1 month straight now. The stores seem like they get 1-3 copies every 2 weeks or so, they will not reserve them even if you pre pay in full. Fucking EB is corn holing people and making a killing. All I can suggest is you get the phone numbers of the retailers selling it, and check often. That or "Camp it"

people on ebay are capitalizing on the games popularity... auctions close every hour or so with people paying over $80 for a copy of WoW.

I wonder how much you'd get for a CE...

From what the gamestop geeks told me, they are letting copies "Trickle" out until they get more servers up. And it is "Blizzard Law" that you cannot reserve it.

Damn I should go buy my local target out. Last time I was there they had at least 20 copies sitting there. I don't play WoW. I would just buy them to resell.

I've called everyone from the Queen of England to the Hounds of Hell. Not one copy available.

The guy at Gamestop said he just got an e-mail from Blizzard stating that they are temporarily suspending shipment of WoW. He didn't know for how long. He said that you can still order them off of the blizzard website though.

Guys do not forget to check Toys r Us. No one ever thinks to go looking there but they DO have the game as well as lots of other pc an console games. The good thing about Toys r Us is that since most gamers dont think to go look there so it normally always has a copy.

I went to Target in a ghetto area yesterday and they not only didn't have WoW, they didn't have a space for it on the shelf.

Oh btw, Targets in ghetto areas suck ass overall.

GameSpot just opened a store in the local area today. They have over a dozen copy's of WoW and 6 of the special "I got to much money to burn" edition. Not impossible to find around here but damn near it.
