Having a negative or optimistic outlook is not relevant to this fact, it is only relevant to the way you see things.

Nope. My contention is that his OPINION about how this board is no longer a place where your find intellectual banter is wrong and purely his negative hate-filled view. I happen to think because of such differences in the outlooks people have on this board makes it a very good place for intellectual stimulation. Sure, sometimes there are comments made in fun, in haste, and in pure stupity and immaturity on the behalf of many posters, but you should be able to look past that to see the good stuff.
I see where your coming from, I do, but I also see exactly where Xyun is coming from too.
Apart from the few backward buffoons it is a reasonable place, however, it is those very morons who made me make that shitpost a while back.
I don't think its about optimism or pessimism, although on a broader scale in life I think it is important to be an optimist rather than a pessimist, but more importantly to be realistic in your optimism.

I don't have any. I find it weird how this winter has gone, but I also will not overreact and get all worried and listen to the doomsdayers. I prefer to leave things like this to the experts. I'm sure a few good Discovery Channels specials will cover this weird winter in the next few months. I also realize the planet we live on isn't a computer....it doesn't follow a code....it is completely volatile(sp?) and we have and will always be at it's mercy. Through our amazing progress every day in science and technology we will continue to learn ways we can sustain our planet and hopefully do everything we can to not be the cause of terrible mother nature events.
