Taking bets on tonights Suns vs Heat game

Post by Winnow »

Just for the hell of it.

I'm taking the Suns obviously.

I'll cover any bet up to 1000 VVs (up until 12,000 total...I have no credit line here!) on people who want to take the Heat in tonight's game.

I personally see it up in the air. You people that love to talk about the Suns lacking size and not being able to deal with big teams should be all over this with the best team in the east which features non other than Shaq daddy, deiesel, big aristotle, and Wade.

Bet as little as 20VVs and as much as 1000. Betting open until tip off. don't edit your posts after that time or they are invalid! This is for a straight win. No point spread.
PHOENIX (Ticker) -- The top two squads in the Eastern and Western Conferences face off when the Miami Heat clash with the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday.

While the addition of Shaquille O'Neal has the Heat atop the East, the Suns have been a major surprise and boast the NBA's best record. Phoenix has been bolstered by the addition of point guard Steve Nash .

After a franchise record 14-game winning streak, Miami has split its last four contests, with both losses coming to the Seattle SuperSonics . On Sunday, O'Neal collected 28 points and 11 rebounds in a 108-98 loss at Key Arena.

Phoenix, which has won six-straight and 17 of its last 18 games, is coming off a 124-89 thrashing of the Indiana Pacers on Sunday.

Shawn Marion scored 21 points and had four steals. Amare Stoudemire collected 20 points and 14 rebounds while Nash added 10 and nine.

Miami has won four of the last five meetings between the teams.

I'll take the bet, and go for the full 1000. I think the Suns will win, but I'm willing to take the risk.

What's the line on the game btw?

Ah, just saw your post Aranuil. Done!

I just put out this offer for fun. I think it could go either way.

Line on the game last I checked was Phoenix favored by some points. You can adjust your level of VV's if you want as the experts are favoring the Suns.

They're only favored by 6.

I agree, this is a tossup... I think if the Heat's roleplayers step up, and if Shaq doesn't relax on defense, it should be a great game to watch.

I'm going to be watching it about 60 minutes delayed on TIVO because I have some things to do at work tonight so my reaction/posts etc will be awhile after that game is over : ) I must avoid IRC etc! Don't want to ruin the game for myself!

I probably won't get to watch it/see who won until tomorrow.

In the Arizona Republic the Suns were favored by 4.

This game was just as lopsided as their previous 2 games were.

Suns 122
Heat 107
