Well, there's a huge difference between the Editor's picks and the Reader's picks. The editor likes tragedy the reader's likes happy pictures of animals cuddling.

The editor picks "important" photos, the readers pick "inspirational" photos.

They should just put an overlay of the masturbation kitten in the corner of all war photos for middle american consumption =)

Great link, thanks Noel, particularly liked the shot of the sun viewed through the snow.

The typhoon shot in Japan was pretty amazing as well.
