It was a great week for me. I traded Stephen Davis away for Antwaan Smith. Smith nailed 3 TD's for me. I never expected him to come through like that but I am not complaining.
Ahman Green kicked ass last night as well. I figured he might due to Favre coming back off of injury. Favre did great, for the team, but I am betting that people who played him as their starter weren't overly happy.
That poses a question. Which QB would you consider to be a great "Fantasy" player as opposed to real life player? I would have to say Gannon has treated me right except for this weekend.

While he is a stellar QB in the game, in Fantasy Football QB's usually get more points for completed passes rather than rushing yards. In our league you get points for completed passes and receptions so QB's and WR's score more fantasy points if they were to do more short dump offs. The scoring system varies between leagues though.

I would love to say Tommy Maddox since I'm a long-time Steelers fan. But while he is one of the best QBs the Steelers have had since Bradshaw, I don't know if he'll match the staying power. The guy is good, but can he be consistently good for the long haul? I guess only time will tell, but I have the sinking the feeling the answer is no.
On another note, Driver once again failed to put up good numbers. But the Greenbay D kicked some ass! I'm so glad I traded away Chicago and picked up Greenbay in the pre-season.
I guess I'll still start Driver next game. I am hoping he comes out of this little slump and starts having some great games.

I have been waiting for Maddox to be the QB since I saw him play last year. He makes good reads, gets rid of the ball fast, is very accurate, and has a strong enough arm to take the Steelers to the Super Bowl. With the 4 running backs the Steelers have and the defense they always have, a QB that is just average can take them deep into the playoffs. He is proving to be well above average. I do think he is a short term solution though. He is 31 and I would not expect to see him more than 4-5 years at most. They should deal Kordell for a draft pick or a big gator aid cooler (whichever they can get first) and draft a QB this year and sign Charlie Batch as the backup.
I am calling it now that Veron Haynes is going to be a BEAST of a running back when he gets the chance. His only problem is that he has Bettis, Zeroue, and Fu in front of him. He would be an easy starter for a team like Cleveland. Steelers all the way this year damn it!

Donnovan McNabb is every fantasy player's wet dream. He is nearly a team unto himself. Faulk is still my second pick, despite Priest Holmes' fantastic year. Marshall should have "US Mail" tattoed on his butt.

See now, in our league McNabb started off on fire but then he started to run the ball himself instead of throw it. Those receivers get paid a lot of money to catch the ball. Throw it to them. I have all but gotten rid of all the Eagles from my team. Just looking for someone to trade me someone for Chad Lewis.
