Who will it be this year. I think Alex Smith has the best shot since the votes will be split between teammates for the others. I think Adrian Peterson is the most deserving though.
Adrian Peterson is not the most deserving IMO. Put any running back behind the best offensive line in years and anybody can put up the numbers that he did. Look at Leinhart's weak O-line and extremely young reciever corp. The numbers he put up are an understatement, he had to lead one of the youngest group of guys every week against teams that were ready to knock of the #1 team in the nation. Alex Smith was impressive, but the lack of big schools hurt him a lot. We'll get a glimpse against what he can do against Pitt (who shouldn't even be there). My vote goes to Leinhart.
The Heisman is a joke period. Both Carnell Williams and Ronnie Brown of Auburn would be in the running if they wern't on the same team sharing time. Both have performed as well if not better than the folks on that list.
