Coming out in December. It looks just as good as the previous 2. We shall see how much hype it gets though.

I sure as hell hope its better than the second. The first Blade movie rocked, the 2nd was crap.
But at least it seems like they wanna bring in some more persons from the Blade universe.
The first movie had Deacon Frost as the bad guy, and the origins of Blade.
The 2nd had absolutely nothing but good effects, and bad fighting (hell, the "fight" scene when the vampires enter Blades headquarter were outright embarassing).
But from the looks of it, Blade 3 will at least feature Hannibal King. I still miss Frank Drake, Quincy Harker and Rachel Van Helsing though.

The second one story wise wasn't the greatest, but as far as style and just mindless entertainment, it delivered. I liked the gang of vampire hunters, they were so cliche and unreal, it was great :D

Okay saw this today, my first impression while leaving the theatre was that thiis set of three movies will come to be treated like the Highlander 3, no one will pay any attention to number 2 because it sucked.

Who told Jessica Biel that she is hot? Parker Posey is made to look scaggy most of the flick and she owned Biel, would have been nice if a character with that much screen time was hot.

The other member of the Ateam, err the Nightcrawlers, err Nightstalkers named Hannibal something was there to take a beating, and he is good at being beat, he was rather lame at combat, tactics, etc, but the Spidey like lines were his only part, maybe Wesley was too slow to learn quick quips.

Ummm Drake/Dracula? nah, looked like a WWE dude to me, and was not believable.

All in all good popcorn flick, if you treat it like a long music video or a stylized anime with live action it is pretty cool, if you try to build a matrix like fanboi set around it, you are just as dumb as a Matrix fanboi.

Still not out in DK, so havent seen it yet, but in the original comic, Frank Drake are actually a descendant of Dracula.

I wasn't too impressed with the movie, but I'm not really into the action flicks.

Be sure to purchase the DVD when it comes out, it is going to have some really cool DVD-ROM content. Same with The Mask special edition coming out soon. They are both going to be marketed as Infinifilm, but with really innovative features.

Saw it tonight, was a good movie. Nothing especially jaw-dropping, but Ryan Reynolds (the guy from van wilder) was fucking hilarious, and it had a decent amount of Blade being a badass.

It was ok. It wasn't great, it wasn't horrible, and the pomeranian was a riot.

The dialogue felt forced, but some of the scenes were really good... like the body bank.

Unresolved questions and comments:
[Show]
The virus. What happened with it? Just kiled the vamps there and that was it?

The femvamp.. was she quite possibly the worst vamp you've ever seen, or was it just me?

Why did they have a BLIND WOMAN watching the security monitors?

Why didn't the silver nitrate in the air kill the vamps in the room, instead of just making them belch flame?

The UV light bow... was there a point to that or were they just showing off?

Did Drake look a lot like a Deadra from Morrowwind? And doesn't his appearance sorta negate the whole "vampirism is a virus" thing?

Whistler's death was crap.

Do the feds now beleive that vamps exist after the evidence that they saw?

I thought it was pretty entertaining, but I also didn't mind the second one. If you don't think Jessica biel is hot, eh thats your choice, but I think she's really good looking. I wish they hadn't split up the fight between King/Small Dick-dog Guy and Blade/Drake. Or perhaps did more with Blade/Drake. Blade should never have a comic relief line/action ever. King = funny as all fucking hell with one liners (Though my brother thought he didn't belong in the movie at all).

I thought it was a lot of fun. Van Wilder's jokes were hilarious. I laughed a lot.
[Show]
What bugs me is that in almost any movie where there is a team of some sort they always get wiped out. That is kind of bullshit in my eyes. In the second movie the entire Pack gets wiped out (eventually). I see this same formula in a lot of movies and it really annoys me.

Some more questions.
What happened to the girl?
When the feds found the crater with the body in it didn't it look like Drake and if so doesn't that fuck up the big Gift ending?
Why did the dogs have vamp faces like the 2nd movies bad guys?
A little off topic here but WTF are people thinking when they show up to the movie during the previews? They get all pissed because they can't find a seat? They should be pissed because they are STUPID! Especially on a weekend just before the holidays.

Saw it. Could have waited, should have waited, for DVD.
[Show]
Agreed above Whistler's death was crap. The guy can survive being milked by vampires but the FBI takes him down? Please.
The one liners were funny, but didn't belong in this type of movie. If you take this move with them and don't think about the first two movies, then it's ok. But Blade isn't supposed to be a comedy. Opinions will vary.

Blade learning profanity was rather dumb too. Not that I have a problem with profanity, it just seemed out of place as I can't really remember him using any in the first two movies.

The whole 'big fight' resembled Matrix 3 too much to me.

What the fuck was up with Blade wearing red long johns as a super hero outfit? Please..

The woman that played the blind woman, I couldn't get American Pie out of my head and thus she seemed way out of place. And I'm sorry, I have a hard time believing a blind person is a scientist putting together a new virus.

The ultra bow thing.. why was it a bow? No arrows ever came out of it. Why not just make it a wand or something? If they can make the light arch from point to point, why not just make it shoot out?

Blade's new whip thing was cool.

Blade's new Neo strength of knocking people through sealed foot thick metal doors was not. Stupid.

The femvamp as noted above was probably the worst, and ugliest, vamp characters I've ever seen. And a horrible actress to boot.

Triple H should stick to wrestling.

Wtf could the female vamp hunter kick so much ass without a scratch, yet a seriously buffed (good body work Ryan) guy does nothing but get his ass kicked by everyone?

I really liked Ryan in this movie, I think he really made it worth watching. But again, I think he was also out of place in the series. Stand alone though, it's good. And damn he's got himself buffed up. The girls will love his scenes. His best acting scene to me was when he was threatened with "going back". Although it had to be hard to act off of that woman.

The single high point of the entire movie was when Blade was asked who the president was. The ENTIRE theater erupted in applause.

If I were responsible for explaining it, I'd just say that the vamps have done enough research on Blade to know that Whistler was his buddy and they had pictures or video on him. Not to mention the FBI (with the familiars that were in it) were following him, so they knew what he looked like.

I saw this movie today. I am a big Blade fan and I was expecting the same basic weak plot like they did in Blade 2. The plot was thin in this movie...but I still enjoyed it immensely. The movie is basically one giagantic ass kicking. The Matrix style fight scenes are something that I have come to enjoy from time to time.

I don't think anyone really needs to think too deeply about the plot holes. I don't try and get to cerebral about these types of movies. It was like watching a really badass music video with great special effects. Wesley Snipes has always impressed me with his screen presence in these movies. Jessica Biel was very easy on the eyes. I've never seen her in anything before so this was a first for me...she's kind of sexy.

I am loathe to admit I have never seen Van Wilder. My only experience with Ryan Reynolds is from Two Guys, A Girl, and a Pizza Place on TV. I always thought he was hilarious in that show. Wow did he bulk up since those days. And the same smartass wisecrackery that I enjoyed so much from his days on TV carried over well into this movie...even if it was a bit out of place. I think I will go rent Van Wilder now.

Oh, the head Vamp...Drake...he was not convincing as a menacing progenitor of the Vampire race. When he was in full Vamp form...he looked mean. But he kind of reminded me of Antonio Banderas' good looking kid brother when he was in human form.

Parker Posey looked kind of sexy in a goth/pigmentless sort of way. I liked her since seeing Best in Show.

Triple H...hmmm...I always thought he would do well in movies of the Action type. He's not an actor though...he's a really huge man that is great at what he does....kicking butt on the screen...whether in the movies or on TV in the WWE. And a year ago a friend and I went to see the WWE here locally for a taping of Smackdown. I was third row from the ring. Triple H was one HUGE mofo...he needed to do some more ass kicking in this movie...but it's called Blade...not Triple H I suppose.

They should have gotten Ben Wallace to play him. Wesley's hair is too short.
