To Freeport and beyond...
Ok, I'm addicted to book quests. I love doing them. I love putting the books in my house. It is so awesome. Even moreso, I think I've found myself becomming addicted to the Mastery Quests. I've done one - Gnoll - and I want the others, I CRAVE the others.
That being said.
I understand the Fallen Gate is a keyed zone in the Commonlands. Please correct me if I am wrong. As a Qeynos citizen - how the hell am I supposed to get to it to activate the zombie mastery quest in there?
I also understand the Orc mastery quest is behind a tower in the Commonlands... can anyone give me directions on how to get from Qeynos to FP for it?

I know I'm good at what I do, but I know I'm not the best.
But I guess that on the other hand, I could be like the rest.

Path from Qeynos to Freeport is ...
Antonica to thundering steppes (one of the griffon stations drops you off very near the zone, so this is easy)
In thundering steppes I think you take the first road branch to the left, when you hit the sand, hang left again, go out on the dock and use the bell to go to nektulos (and of course pick up various quests from npcs and objects at the docks. This is pretty safe as well.
In nektulos, get a map. You are aiming for the commonlands entrance at the south part of the zone. This is also the most dangerous part of the trek, especially when you get a little bit away from the beach and you need to watch out of for the level 25ish (I think) owlbear groups. From there you zone into the commonlands. Not sure where the tower in question is though, maybe someone else can comment on that.

Kizdean Gix's drop is not a key to FG even though it says it is.
You should be able to do the quest even though parts of it are in NFP. One of us evils went to Qeynos-area to get the skelly and gnoll books and wasn't KOS.
The tower for the orc quest is in the Crossroads - a kind of trading post in the centre of the commonlands. You can't miss it - it's the only tower visible from any kind of distance other than The Citadel of the Overlord.
Good luck in Nek. I've got an unrecoverable shard in there from trying to make the opposite journey you're proposing
Dunno what level ytou are but the commons is pretty much safe from about L19 unless you run into GustFeather. . .

I did that quest as a qeynosian, here's how you do it
From Commonlands zone into the Sprawl.
Follow the right of the zone in till you get to a vent sticking out of the zone, this will take you to the Serpant Sewers. From there, the zone to Theives way is close, take that. From Theives way follow the map to N Freeport. The guy for the quest is right there at the entrance to theives way. He will look like he'll agro, but he'll still give the quest.

We have done the first 4 armor quests. You will be very pleased as a Swashbuckler. It also is a very nice class to do the quests. The tracking and smuggle skills help get you where you need to be and avoid some of the garbage. You will need to be 22 to wear the 3rd piece. Possibly 23 to wear the 4th.

WHAT?
I missed a book?
BURKE, talk, what book did you find in there other than the zombie book and be as descriptive as you can about the location!
