Quest Text Scroll Script

Came across this today. It's a script to make the quest text scroll faster in the text box.

For anyone not using a modified UI (I believe those already have this feature).

Type /macro to enter script mode, and

for Speedy Quest:

/script QUEST_DESCRIPTION_GRADIENT_CPS = 600000
/script RegisterForSave("QUEST_DESCRIPTION_GRADIENT_CPS")
/script DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage("Quests are now SUPER SPEEDY!")

for Regular Quest Speed:

/script QUEST_DESCRIPTION_GRADIENT_CPS = 40
/script RegisterForSave("QUEST_DESCRIPTION_GRADIENT_CPS")
/script DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage("Quests are now regular speed")

I tried CTmod as an option instead of Cosmos. I enjoy it. It has extra hotkeys, Buff timers, and the ability to make notes on your map and share the notes.

Using Cosmos here and I have not found a single issue with my frame rate bugging out. Just the standard server lag from time to time. Waiting for the GUI junkies to make something solid, until then it will be Cosmos.

Hmmm, the quest text speed isnt a speed hack is it? Im not sure what they are but they are outright banning any who use them...sooo

A speed hack is something that makes you move faster. Like a warrior in EQ running at Selos speed. Mostly these are popping up on the PvP servers right now.

What I use is kind of a 'CosmoGypFuktMod', I took what I wanted from each of them and came out with this.


(player stat window needs to have width adjusted, I know)

Double Hot Bar* + Side Bar* (You can resize this, too)

Reply Target AddOn (Slash command doesn't work but you are able to bind a key that targets the last person who sent a /tell or /whisper to you via keybindings)

QuickLoot AddOn

Everything with * is also movable!
