It was pyrella's idea really. He noted that the domain name was available, so I grabbed it real quick. We'll set up a forum similar to this one, but with different software probably. (VBulletin or something maybe.. sick of hax0rs with phpBB.)

Not sure of what else we might include on the site. If anyone has any ideas, feel free to toss them out.

Any odds on a similar treatement for the EQ2 forums?

Nope. =) Not playing EQ2, so don't really feel like making a big time investment for it.

So will the boards become more of a WoW than an EQ community, or will they still be kept seperate, or what? IE: If we're not playing WoW, are we going to be ostracized out?

Hopefully, we can prune some of the junk forums here, move the COH forum in the area next to the EQ and EQ2 ones, since AT LEAST as many Veeshan peeps play COH as EQ2.

I don't think there's any question that this board is about one thing:
People who played at one time or another on the Veeshan server.

I think you're getting your panties in a bunch over nothing. The addition of a whisperwind.org site and forum really has nothing to do with this site. There was going to be one anyway, and I'm glad it will be hosted by Xo, Py, and Sylvus.

This site will likely remain the same as it is now. Dedicated to the people that played on Veeshan, and all of our other interests including, WoW, EQ2, Cooking, etc. The only thing that might change is that people playing on Whisperwind (which is not all of VV) will post more WoW stuff on the whisperwind.org site. No one is going to be ostracized out (and I LOL at you for making that assertion).
Oh, my God; I care so little, I almost passed out.

VV is a little stagnant atm for new users. Whisperwind could possibly bring some new people into the mix.

Would it be the same rules as VV or would kyoukan be modding it or something like that? That would suck. EQ2 would also bring some new peeps into the discussion as EQ is deader than a doornail except for a few hangers on.

Current events, sports, video/movies, computers, video games etc get the most activity these days. VV worked pretty well to keep people focused on one board while trying all the new MMORPGs like COH, DAoC, Lineage2, etc, but didn't really advertise it to new people. It's a challenge to come up with a slow influx of new people to prevent inbred discussions without overjackassing the place.

Seperate board, just like VV, but for WW.

Oh, live now! Needs to be themed and such, but it's a start.

When you're filling out the app to register, there's an image that has random numbers and letters. That's what you need to enter. It's to prevent auto registration bots and spam.

I think it has to do with the custom style I was building. I re-enabled subSilver as the default, so you should be able to register now.

edit: updated the WW style, should show the code now.
