Bad things come in threes...and counter measures

Post by Winnow »

With the superstition that bad things come in threes in mind...yesterday I got in my car and the battery was dead. (1). The Triple A guy came and noticed my tire was flat...I had a nail in my rear left tire and had to go get two new tires (2)

With two bad things already banked, today I wanted to get the third one over with and saw an opportunity. Backing out of my parking space at Fry's Electronics, I saw the car backing out behind me as well that wasn't looking. I was able to stop but the other car continued. The bumpers appeared to match and they were backing out pretty slow so I let the other vehicle give me a little "love tap". We both got out and there was no damage, wished each other a happy hollidays and were on our way.

My question is...does this count as bad thing #3 or does it get thrown out because I subconsciously let the car tap my bumper? It's a close call because I may have been able to slam my far back into a forward gear and avoid it but acting that quickly may have caused more damage if I rammed the car beside me.

I need some answers from our resident psychics and paranormal experts.

I'd say no.
Then again, if the fear of hitting it was enough to screw your adrenilin for the rest of the day, then yes.

If bad things come in threes, would that mean Triple A is a bad thing?

I made it through Thanksgiving without choking. It's weak, but I'm taking ASU's loss, favored by 14 points, to UofA to complete my bad vibe trio.

Too often it seems it is the peaceful and innocent who are slaughtered. In this a lesson may be found that it may not be prudential to be either too peaceful or too innocent. One does not survive with wolves by becoming a sheep.
