Need some good PRO war links, prs...

Post by Keverian FireCry »

I am doing an essay on pro/cons to the war on iraq. All i can find is anti war stuff and i need good stuff from both sides. If anyone knows of good pro war sites id appreciate any links. I know this is not the best place to ask but i simply can not find good pro war sites atm. Thanks

I dont know of any specific links. You could probably find something pro about the war by searching for republican links or something to do with Kuwaits view on the matter I would think.

http://www.fas.org/news/iraq/1998/02/18/980218h_voa.htm has the justification given by Clinton as to why he might have to attack Iraq. Those reasons are still valid, they are in repeated and flagrant violation of the ceasefire. (Sourcepoint Voice of America) This is interesting as it just makes the point of the fact that the current president is the 3rd in a row, to use rhetoric to make Iraq go along with their obligations under the ceasefire.

http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/ ... ro-con.htm has a nice pro-con breakdown

What is really interesting to note about all the pro's and cons, it that searching for "clinton attacks iraq" on google produces the same condemnation from the same sources as "bush attacks iraq" for example http://www.wsws.org/news/1998/dec1998/iraq-d17.shtml
and http://www.twf.org/News/Y1998/19981222-IraqAttack.html both of which are decidedly not anti democrat, pro republican sites.

In a more even intriquing note, CNN has the text of a Clinton speech defending an attack against Iraq that text to text almost duplicates the speech given by Bush http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/stories/ ... cript.html

What it seems to come down to, is the same people condemn it regardless of who is president or what the reasons are, and will continue to do so.
