The exit polls were incorrect anyway, or guess who would be president? Somehow I don't think they interviewed every slack-jawed yokel coming from your neighborhood there Sirton.
The only reason the people who are the upper 1% vote Bush is because of his selfless and unquestioned devotion to big business. Guess who the upper 1% is? No Rekaar, not the average person. Yes, now you're right, BIG BUSINESS. People with lots of money only like one thing -- making more money. Who's tax cuts basically screw the average person and give tons of extra cash in addiition to dividend cuts to the rich? Bush. They're not voting on the ridiculous values issue, they're voting for money. That's ok though, because they're votes are meaningless, they're only 1%.
What is ridiculous is the religious right who regardless of education (see the Religious article going on right now) as high as college graduate but still cannot recognize evolution in schools? If you think I'm ignorant then I have no idea what you think these people are. They educate their children in poor schools the wrong theories and raise and condition their kids to be just as ignorant and stupid as their parents, thanks to education thats directed by more stupid people to create stupid people.
If you can't see a process here, of idiots creating idiots even if they had a real education, then you're hopeless. Thus, the red states are indeed not as smart as the more free and intelligent blue states.

A large reason that the exit polls were off is that filling one out appeals more so to a certain demographic. For instance if I had just gotten done with an 8 hour shift in the factory and voted on my way home I'd be less inclined to take 10 minutes to fill out a ballot. If say I was a farmer and was already taking the time to fill out my voting ballot, again I'd probably be less inclined to take the time to do an exit poll. I personally am a student and voted on my way home from school. I knew when I got home all I'd be doing for the most part was studying, so I did take the time to fill one out. With this information as it is stated, Sirton broke it down to how those demographics voted. So the relevance of how many people from a particular demographic filled out the exit poll is null. Granted you would get more precise information with a larger sample population, generally speaking I'm sure that it's fairly accurate.

Rivera,
Possibly you should learn how to read the information put in front of you before you start insulting other people and their level of inteligence. The idea that there was more information gathered from the epolls than simply I voted Bush/Kerry. Maybe the more detail you get as far as what demographic the person that filled out an epoll the more precise it is? Don't forget the best way to lie to an ignorant person is to show them stats. You can show them what you want them to see and what you don't want them to see. From what I can see there is a lot more information in Sirton's post than the stats they were showing with straight percentages with no categories or break down.
As far as Bush being tied to _Big Business_ , you do realize for the most part these people didn't just get lucky to be where they are, they had to have a whole lot of drive and desire to be the best or largest or a combination of the two. Personally I'd rather these people be making the decisions than the people in this country that lack the drive/inteligence/desire to make it to the top. So what if it's not all fair, nothing is fair. They made there wealth, let 'em have it. Personally I don't want their's, I want my own wealth and I want to be able to make it. Spreading out the wealth only makes people lazy. It's not going to save the world or create happiness. Those with less will realize that someone will give them more, those with more will realize that someone is going to take more. In turn you kill peoples drive to make something of themselves or to keep pushing to make it even further.

This isn't about welfare. Its not about spreading the wealth, its more like the US spending money it doesn't have, including money designed for social security and then giving a tax break to the largest tax payers in the country, when they didn't need it in the first place.Tinkin Tankem wrote:Rivera,

Are you sure you'd want such highly motivated people as your leaders? Sure these people work hard, but they do a lot of things we could say are... less than ethical. You'd have to include companies like Enron with big business and a host of other companies that prefer to give their top executives million dollar bonuses while the company's stock plummets and people lose jobs. Most of these business owners are interested in two things, making more money, and their own well being.

Because the GOP is all about giving the "top performers", like Paris Hilton, tax cuts, ignoring ecological costs of business, and generally pissing on everyone else for the sake of the top 5%Rekaar. wrote:So now having discredited your flawed concept of ignorance being partisan, do you still cling to it as validation of your party superiority?

Here's another one. Why do the top performers of society overwhelmingly vote Republican? 'Cause they're stupid? Get off the high horse and recognize that your ideas just suck sometimes k?
That's the reason regular people tend to be stupid to vote for them.
I don't think you really need to have an IQ test for it, voting for Bush in the last election was a stupid thing to do.

O'Reilly settled out of court for an undisclosed amount of money with his accuser. There will be no public ass reaming for O'Reilly....Sylvos wrote:
I refuse to acknowledge that psychopath O'Reilly as a Republican. If you really think that Michael Moore cares about more than his pocketbook then I'm willing to bet there's an 80% chance you own the Super Deluxe Editor's Cut Gold Plated Ultimate Edition of F/911 and have already searched for the 20.00 pre-order of F/911 1/2 on Amazon.
I've seen no studies, but I'm willing to bet that F/911 and Moore's asshattery actually hurt Kerry's chances in the 2004 election. It certainly didn't help. There's no way to tell as the survey clowns only asked the 99.9 percent liberals that made up the viewing audience of F/911 and not the majority that didn't see the movie because they were turned off after reading reviews of Moore's fake documentary which swung their vote to Bush.
i am a liberal.
If I were Moore I'd take every cent of profit and buy body armor and ship it to our soldiers in Iraq. For starters, it would be a big "fuck you" to Bush, garner an assload of the publicity that his narcissistic ass thrives on, and it would make people like me a little less pissed off at him for some of his utter bullshit.

Too often it seems it is the peaceful and innocent who are slaughtered. In this a lesson may be found that it may not be prudential to be either too peaceful or too innocent. One does not survive with wolves by becoming a sheep.

You aren't Moore and he is buying huge mansions with your money, not body armor. He's a closet conservative taking advantage of the liberal's undying need to whine and buy things that support their whines. I'm jealous that he thought of it before me. There may still be time for me to make a buck off of a Bush bashing video!Mak wrote:If I were Moore I'd take every cent of profit and buy body armor and ship it to our soldiers in Iraq. tax cuts asshole....of several "top performers" i know, most of them disagree with all conservative republican platforms but simply vote for there wallet, unfortunately most americans do the same thing.Rekaar. wrote:So now having discredited your flawed concept of ignorance being partisan, do you still cling to it as validation of your party superiority?
