Watching him is funny as hell, I've seen him on TV in the breakroom at work sometimes.

As far as him knowing so much stuff, that really isn't a big deal. All contestants are given study books that have all the information for the questions that could be asked.
I was listening to the radio a couple of weeks ago, and the had this lady on that competed and lost (obviously) to this guy. What she was saying wasn't necessarily that he was so much smarter than the rest of th contestants, but that he was exceptionally good at timing when to buzz in. Apparently there is some kind of delay from the time the question is finished, to when you can buzz in, and he is apparently excellent at timing that delay.
