I think there is some confusion going on here.... Nelly always says durrrty.. But there is no south involved.. he'll just say im from the dirty dirty or whatever. Because if you have ever been to a bad part of st louis, it's fucking dirty.
And ludacris has nothing to do with st. louis, he is from atlanta..
St. Louis is not Dirty South. Primarly when referring to the Dirty South, it's just Atlanta really. St. Louis falls into the Midwest with Chicago. On the St. Lunatics album (Nelly and company), the only single to be really released off that was Midwest Swing.
Sorry Stragi didn't mean to get you on the defensive. Another piece of info is that the Arch in St. Louis is the "gateway" from the midwest to the west..
Alright, technically, St. Louis is Midwest. However, Nelly and Saint Lunatics has somehow claimed themselves "Dirty South". Guess Nelly and his crew was asleep durin geography class.
you sir, are incorrect. If you read my above post you will see the correction.. for verification check out their only single that made it to the radio... Midwest swing or whatever its called. It sucks, because nelly is in it.. but that should speak for itself.
If you still disagree I challenge you to name me a song in which he says that.
Oh, don't forget... I almost started laughing hysterically when a lady at a convenience store in St. Louis asked me if I wanted a "sack" for my groceries... My exact response was, "No, but I would like a bag..."
You are all technically wrong. St. L is part of the "dirty souf" not "south", or also affectionately known as the "dirty dirty". Using correct grammar when discussing the dirty dirty is almost as bad as seeing a white boy on turn tables. You just don' do it!
