Edit: For Aruman we have had people move here just due to Iraq. CBC had a blonde chick that had relinquished her US citizenship over it video conferenced into a town hall meeting in Ohio last week. That was painful to watch.

Let them go, renounce their citizenship, whatever else they want to do, it still won't do anything to change the way the election went. Running away from a problem (either real or imagined) has helped solve it how many times?

Anyway, as if an extremely insignificant number of the population moving elsewhere over an election really means anything.

Well her basic point was about not having blood on her hands, she wasn't arguing to fix\change anything. She was clearly very upset by the whole thing which made it hard to watch. I applaud her conviction, most of us just bitch a little and then accept it.

There has been a rift created between Canada and the US (and the rest of the world)solely due to the actions and decisions made by the Bush administration. In the next 4 years, if they are willing to 'clean up' their foreign policy and be a less aggrogant and hostile participant in the 'global community', who knows what good things could happen...

I'm hopeful that this administration will learn from the mistakes made in the past 4 years. If they dont... well, I'll just say that I'm happy I'm not an american.
