We don't need any Euro's acting as 'observers'. I'm quite sure that there are plenty of Democrat and Republican representatives at polling areas who are rabidly performing the same function.Hesten wrote:Just heard in the news here back in DK that the european election observators (including 2 danes), have been denied access to the election areas by democratic election officials who informed them that they had orders from Washington not to let them in.

We do have observers... in case you missed the part where I said that there are Republican and Democrat observers.Kelshara wrote:With all the crap going on during this election you not only need observers, the only way to get a fair election is to have somebody else run it. And I guess you missed the part about being specifically invited.
We don't need any non-US citizen acting in any official way when it comes to our elections.
If they want to waste their taxpayers money to come over and watch the elections, fine by me. Sure as heck better not be the US taxpayer footing the bill for them to get here though.
Feel free... We give out enough and pay for wasteful projects as it is... no need to pay for more...Kelshara wrote:Hate to tell you, but not all countries would have a problem to pay for a couple of tickets like you seem to indicate the US does. We can pay for them just fine!
Don't expect a welcome mat either... those cost money too.
