Post by Ennia »

anybody watching this series?
airs on Wednesdays on ABC

I have all episodes to date Tivo'ed, only just finished watching part 2 of first one though. It's got me pretty interested so far, I'm just afraid it's gonna turn into some cheesy Jurasic Park meets Robinson Crusoe meets Real World later on. But I guess it's better it turned out that way than "it was all a dream"

Nice mix of characters and personas to follow.

Have they showed any monsters yet? I watched one episode and they never showed anything. I hate shows that drag on without showing the baddies.

This is the only show my wife and I currently catch every week. There are some odd things going on to be sure. I am guessign that they are all really dead and maybe the island is some sort of purgatory for them. Who knows. I torrented all the episodes myself and watched them out of order but it was still cool. It is definitely worth watching.

From the first episode only they shot what they concluded was a polar bear. On a tropical island so something's definitely spooky there. It wasn't probably that bear that ate the pilot, maybe a mama bear

I like the idea of a purgatory, ahven't thought of that. Ok now I gotta watch the rest of them later tonight.

They filmed it off the Northwestern shore of the Oahu island of Hawaii (drove through the filming accidently - it was unannounced) while on vacation, and sat about 10 feet away from the airplane.. Quite realistic.

Personally I'm enjoying it quite a bit - and I generally don't watch TV aside from sports.

The storylines have been interesting enough to keep my tuning in each successive week, but not so much where I'd rave about it just yet.

This is quality TV and I'm forced to torrent it every week.
So far, so good. Anyone have any theories?
My only concern is that the payoff might not match the buildup if they carry on as they are.
[Show]
What's in the jungle?
What's with the rain?
What about the french message?
Who were Adam and Eve?
How come Mr Lock can walk again?
Have the people who might've seen the jungle monster lied when they said they didn't see it?
Are we going all Lord of the Flies (beach gang vs cave gang)?
I need to know ><

Deward a few posts above has a theory that i'm leaning towards now also after watching the rest of episodes, it could explain Locke's walking again

Interesting theory Deward, would explain OMGIAMRETARDEDCAUSEALOTISTWOWORDS. I am also thinking maybe they went thru a rip in time or something. Another strange phenomenon that shows up every so often which could explain the corpses on the island. Something like The Langoliers Steven King movie with the aurora borealis....

The show so far is great and 1 of 3 I actually sit and watch during the week.

Yeah I've all ready considered and rejected the purgatory theory. If it turns out to be correct I'll be disappointed

I considered the rip in time theory as well but threw it out when they were discussing how long the transceiver had been broadcasting for. It will be interesting to see if they find that transceiver and how old it actually is.

Could be a Bermuda Triangle type theory. There is supposed to be a place that is very similar in magnetic oddities in the Pacific off the coast of Japan.

here is the spoiler:
[Show]
This episode was based on Charlie the druggie. Jack gets trapped in a cave-in at the caves and charlie crawls inside to save him. Saed (the iraqi) gets knocked up the side of the head while trying to discover the source of the transceiver signal. I think it was the old guy that did it personally. He was the only one not accounted for at the time. Other than that not much else happened except for twice as many commercials as last week.

My wife acts like she is in torment when I watch it. "You're making me watch this again"?! I told her there is a tv in the basement she can go watch. I think she secretly is liking the show.

Interesting theory Deward. I was thinking it might be someone we haven't really seen yet. Someone from the Beach who could've followed them (how would Locke have found Said?)
Or perhaps some weird mutant alien natives omg omg !?

You know, I am moderately liking this show, but it may be because the brunette chick is smoking.

However last week was kind of silly. With what happened to Said
being remarkably dumb. I back the Bermuda Triangle angle also BTW.

Try Torrent Search mini app:

http://www.smartdownloads.net/download-18405.html

I think that's the one I use once in awhile but can't check from work. It's a small search app that brings up a search window. It seems to find everything that's on supernova along with lots of other torrents.

It's a nice backup to use if your favorite site is down and you are looking for a specific torrent.

hmmm.

Try it again in a bit. It's worked about 90 percent of the time for me. You enter what you're looking for in the little search window and a separate results window should pop up with direct links to the torrents.

I'll check when I get home to see if that's the actual one I use.

I just connected to my home PC and tried it. It's not working for me either atm. You jinxed it! : ) Keep it a few days and try it from time to time. It's a nice little app to have if this is only a temporary glitch.

Good, then it's not me who missed something apparently.

On a different note, it seems suprnova is down on a more permanent basis, I get an error that there is no website registered for this address or something. Tried piratebay, but getting nada from the torrent i found there.

Just for the less informed, there was a major DOS attack on several Bittorrent sites a few days ago, that might be why you guys had problems.

It may have been down the other day, but this is the best Comic Torrent Site there is:

http://www.zcultfm.com/~comic/index.php

You may have to register at the site to see the messages. They release brand new torrents (DCP Zero Day releases on tracker 4) of the latest comics several times a month. Basically every comic that is released by any company. Check the Trackers for giga torrents of complete series.

Check here for dailey torrent releases:

http://www.zcultfm.com/~comic/viewforum.php?f=8

May have to register at site before you can see them but usually for each comic torrent released, you'll see a few jpegs of cover art and a summary of what the series was/is about.
