The Washington Redskins have proved to be a time-tested election predictor. In the previous 15 elections, if the Washington Redskins have lost their last home game prior to the election, the incumbent party has lost the White House. When they have won, the incumbent has stayed in power.
This election year, that deciding game takes place on Sunday, October 31 ... vs. Green Bay.

He just wants me to lose a second game so he can catch up in the VV Football League. I have Farve as my Qb.
When I was younger, I used to think that the world was doing it to me and that the world owes me some thing…When you're a teeny bopper, that's what you think. I'm 40 now, I don't think that anymore, because I found out it doesn't f--king work. One has to go through that. For the people who even bother to go through that, most assholes just accept what it is anyway and get on with it." - John Lennon
I have no direct response to that!Sylvus wrote:Green Bay is currently favored by 2.5 points. I know that you've been saying GWB will win Winnow, but I know that you can't argue with the sportsbooks that set the lines. They are right more often than not.
It's an odd year. Boston winning the world series broke a curse that went back to 1918. This Washington Redskin thing only goes back to 1936. It could be one of those break the trend years!
Take a look at Bodog's line for the presidential race though Sylvus!
+120 John Kerry
-150 George W. Bush
There's a little hint from the oddsmakers for ya : )

Edit:
As of Friday Morning it's:
+105 John Kerry
-135 George W. Bush
Kerry picked up some ground!
