My heart wants the Sox to win, because I never want to hear the words 'curse' and 'baseball' in the same sentence again.
However, my head is telling me Cards in six.
Oh, my God; I care so little, I almost passed out.

I want the Sox to win so they can stop all the whining. I really want them to win in 4 because that would mean baseball wouldn't be ruining standard tv viewing any longer than needed but because I want it that bad I know it will go 7 freaking games.

Sox in 6 and no decendent of those 25 men ever pays for a meal in Boston again.
Bubba: WTF are you watching that baseball interferes with? Fox prime time lineup ? what are you a 23 yr old single woman?

You know after thinking about it, there really isn't anything to watch that baseball would interfere with. I guess I am remembering way back when TV was good or there was a particular show that the world series would interfere with. As it is now, I haven't watched a single baseball game this year so why should that change now?
If I were a 23 year old woman...the possibilities are endless as to what i would be doing on any given night.

LOL good answer =)
by the way i dont even know what Fox has in their primetime lineup other than "The OC" which i've never seen, but it looks like a hipper, sluttier "Melrose Place" or similar steaming pile of shit.

I picked Sox in six also.
I've been watching the Sopranos reruns on HBO when I see them listed. It's great having 4 seasons of the Sopranos that I've never seen before to watch while waiting for the next season.

Cards in 6.
That lineup is just amazing - Sox have Ortiz / Manny - but top to bottom no one can match the cards lineup.
That being coupled with a beat up boston pitching rotation (including an ace that needs his foot sutured before every game), is not a good combination for the Sox.

Would you want to hear the weeks/months of talks about the curse really being broken though? Also, just imagine the activites that would take place in Boston if they won!

Can't wait for the Pats to go on a losing streak....
That said, I think Cards in 7. I have no vested interest in either team.

After watching Suppan's heads up play, I'm changing my vote.
Edit: Just when I thought it couldn't get any stupider, I think I just saw Martinez get walked. That can't be right though... can it? CAN IT?!?!

Heh, not as odd as seeing Al Leiter walked!
I picked the Cards in 6. Looks like it may well be Sox in 4... I just can't see a comeback from 0-3 happen again this year, much less a week later and by a different team.
That is of course if the Sox do not choke away a 4-0 lead in the 8th like they have now and somehow implode.

He reach the cherished .100 mark this year?
Seriously, again the post season comes down to pitching. Save the Angels a couple ago, it's always the case. I picked Boston in 6. If it went to seven, I would switch to the Cards. Seems that neither of those are correct as the Sox are freakin rolling.
Wild card team was a 9-5 favorite over the winningest team in baseball. Seems like they nailed that one down.

i'm surprised it is going to be a sweep, but i'm not surprised the Sox are whooping their asses. As I said last week, the Cards have no starting pitching, and they haven't had a starter get to the 6th inning yet.

I'm almost hoping Cards will win game 4 and 5 so the series can go back to Boston. On the other hand, I don't want to chance them coming back and would prefer a sweep. =)

It was over last night. No one in MLB has come back from a 3-0 deficit in the post season except for the Red Sox. It's not going to happen again a week later. Boston can start celebrating now.
