The whole Lance Armstrong Foundation "Livestrong" yellow wristband phenomenon has spawned a litter of copycats:

The Bush/Cheney blue wristband is especially sad and pathetic. Unless people are buying them to help fund a cure for Bush and Cheney?

I'm bothered by it, but realize there's nothing you can do about it. I feel it cheapens the Lance Armstrong bands that thus far have been an original idea and meaningful (mostly) for those that wear them. Just like how the little ribbons were when they first came out (first was red for Aids wasn't it?).. now you've got one for everything you can think of, and some using colors that had meanings for other things.
I recently read that there's over 16 million of the Lance bands out and aboot.. I believe his initial goal was 6 million. I'm sure he's quite pleased with how it's caught on.
