Do you think you can get it together after a loss and take down LA Trafficsucks this week? I don't face him until week 13. Need to give him a loss or two!

This is the part I hate about playing more then one team. My other team has Payton, Thomas Freaking Jones and the idiot kicker so I am in a no win situation here since I am playing them all this week with LA Trafficsucks.
When I was younger, I used to think that the world was doing it to me and that the world owes me some thing…When you're a teeny bopper, that's what you think. I'm 40 now, I don't think that anymore, because I found out it doesn't f--king work. One has to go through that. For the people who even bother to go through that, most assholes just accept what it is anyway and get on with it." - John Lennon

As long as I am in the playoffs I have a chance.
Last year I dominated my league then watched half my players take a the second half of their games off and I lost the first round of the playoffs.
It is nice to be 6-0 though.

Call it a hunch. Ricky wants to come back...the Dolphins completely suck. The NFL has no real rules regarding how a player's retirement is actually completed.....there is no retirement paperwork. Apparently, it was Ricky's agent who said Ricky retired and there was no formal documentation. Call me optimistic, but I think a competent lawyer would have him reinstated if he pushes the issue.
I think he has a 4 game suspension coming and that because they have no real way to prove he was retired, they can't enforce the 1 year suspension he would have gotten if he had. My guess is Ricky is back in week 9 with the games he missed being counted as time served.

Didn't he recently lose an arbitration hearing that required him to return 8.? million dollars to Miami because he retired?

Too often it seems it is the peaceful and innocent who are slaughtered. In this a lesson may be found that it may not be prudential to be either too peaceful or too innocent. One does not survive with wolves by becoming a sheep.

Yes. He's not the brightest guy in the NFL. I would guess that he has enough brainpower to not have squandered away all of the 8 million but he doesn't seem to understand that playing another year in the NFL would set him up for a life of pot smoking without lawsuits.Mak wrote:Didn't he recently lose an arbitration hearing that required him to return 8.? million dollars to Miami because he retired?
Ricky is basically a slave to the NFL...especially if he doesn't have that 8 million. His best bet is to get back on good terms with the NFL and then fake an injury if he's dead set against playing.
under NFL rules you have to wait an entire season to 'unretire'. he wont be back.Kilmoll the Sexy wrote:Call it a hunch. Ricky wants to come back...the Dolphins completely suck. not entirely true. Under NFL drug rules, if you retire while under the offender program, you are considered to have failed a test....which would give Ricky a 4th failure and a year suspension. I am speculating with that pickup that the NFL will not fight the loopholes they have regarding retiring and that he will be back as soon as he wants to play....since he sat out 6 games already he probably won't have to deal with the 4 games he would have had from his 3rd failed test.
We will see later today....he has the meeting with the NFL this afternoon.

If Wannstupid takes Ricky back, he is a fool. I see Ricky suiting up in the aqua and orange again next year, because Dave is a fool.
