Haha, it's the best when he screws up the calls. He does it at least once every other game because he is constantly rushing the call. Then he goes and blames it on the monitor or the angle or whatever.

It was such a pisser last year game seven because Steiner had the call for the 12th. Sterling slipped some kind of nonsense call because he couldn't miss the rare opportunity.

Houston will win. They owned the Cards during the season and will finish owning them by winning the next game.

The Yankees will win too the Soxs just have to deep a hole to climb out of.

I don't watch baseball normally but I have to say the Houston series has been pretty fun to watch with all the homeruns between the teams. Beltran and Berkman have been insane this series hell they won't even pitch to Berkman anymore. Houstons closer Lidge has been insane the last 3 games. Clemens will prob pitch the 6th game. Woody Williams for the Cards pitched one hell of a game tonight too.

I hope Schilling does well tomorrow but if he's struggling, take him out quick. His injured ankle appears to have really messed up his control.

Just today alone was a great night for baseball. Right after watching the drama from the extra inning NY/BOS game, we got to see the three run blast by Jeff Kent to break the 0-0 tie and win the game for Houston. Great night for the underdogs!

Good stuff! I wish the rest of the season was as intense as the playoffs.

Man, what a night for baseball! Jeff Kent ... never seen him so happy in my life. :D

Caught games 3 and 4 at Minute Maid over the weekend and they were stupendous for this kid raised in Humble, TX. Wish I could have stayed for today's game too, but had to get back for work.

No World Series tickets for me though. :( Damn ticket lotteries...

heh, I haven't even been able to stay up to watch the end of either of the last two games.

In typical Red Sox fashion, I'm sure they'll bring the entire fanbase back from the brink, give them hope(because there was none on Sunday morning), then lose to the evil enemy.

Great games from what I've been able to stay up and listen to

This Game 6 is going to be really full of unknowns

1. Will Schilling be able to do anything
2. if either starter falters, does either bullpen have anything left?
3. if it is close does either closer have any gas in the tank
4. if the game is tied will Torre hold off on using Rivera in late/extra innings to give him a day of rest in the event of game 7
5. can the Yankees continue to hold down the top of the Red Sox lineup?
6. Can John Lieber duplicate his game 2 heroics? (i dont think so)

i bet that the ratings number Fox pulled last night was GIANT. From 8pm-11pm through primetime, they had 3 hours of every out being elimination baseball.

and the Houston v. St Louis 9th inning was some icing on their cake.

I was switching back and forth from Monday Night Football, which had a fairly competitive game going between the Bucs and Rams, and the Boston/New York game. I'm guessing the MNF ratings were fairly low though.

Interestingly enough, granted it wasn't NYY vs. Boston, the game last monday (was it the final game of the Houston vs. Atlanta?) only pulled in half the TV ratings of an arguably mediocre Green Bay Packers vs. Tennessee Titans MNF game.

Baseball shouldn't be played while there is football on, they should end the season in August.

Pft Red Sox were favoured coming into the series! They aren't the underdog!

I'm impressed that the umpires are reversing the calls. Alex Rodriguez is such a cheat!

Schilling and the Magic Boot will be a bedtime story told to little beantown youngsters for generations to come

Boston has got to be the favorite tonight. Pitching is ridiculous though. Should be entertaining watching Derek -Flip a Coin- Lowe and Kevin -Who Gives a Shit, I'm Getting Pulled in the 3rd- Brown battle it out.

Nothing but admiration for Schilling after that performance tonight.

I'm debating calling in so I can stay home and watch game 7.

Let's go Red Sox.
