I have a Gripe

Post by Bubba Grizz »

If you are attending a pro sport game, in this case a football game, then sit yer ass down and watch it. It is bad enough that you are sitting cheek to cheek with the person next to you(and I am not talking about the cheeks on yer face). It is even worse when some dipshit at the farthest spot from the isle gets up every few minutes to either, go get food, go get beer, go have a smoke, go take a piss, or what have you. They walk in front of you, step on your feet, step on your stuff, force you to move so they can pass. Now say it is not just this one guy but his entire group of 4-6 that do this and then the people in the rows in front and behind you as well. It totally distracts from the game and in general PISSES ME OFF.

So if you are going to a game, take yer piss, smoke your smoke, buy your food, BEFORE you sit yer ass in your seat. You can move at the quarter and the half.

Frankly if I had been a Green Bay fan at that game, I would have needed a smoke too. Dude probably wasn't going to the bathroom to piss. More likely he was going to the bathroom to cry.

I hear ya Bubba. I have an isle seat at Paul Brown Stadium (Bengals). Over the past two years I dont think a 5 minute stretch has gone by in which I didnt have to let someone in or out of the isle.

People are constantly going back and forth. I dont even know why they spent money on a ticket if theyre not gonna sit and watch the game. I actually wouldnt mind it so much if they went in groups. But they dont. Its always one person at a time. And they dont even have the foresight to buy another beer for there buddy. NOPE. One guy comes back with a beer. His friend sitting next to him immediately gets up and goes to get a beer for himself.

And the worst of all is when the person sitting 3 seats from the isle on the other side decides to come out to my side, intereferring with 17 people rather than the 3.

And I put up with these annoyance to watch a friggin Bengals game!! I must be sick

Packer stadium is pretty shitty size wise too. They give you about 12 inches to fit your ass in your spot and there is no room in the aisles. To make matters worse, you always have some stupid fucker wearing a giant cheese hat right in front of you. I would much rather watch the games on TV personally. Of course luxury box might be nice though. Someday I am going to splurge on one for a game.

How can you even see the game from the luxury box?

That's why God invented binoculars, Akaran!

Short of that, you could always glance to your left at the 40" flatscreen! 8)

I was in a luxury box at Ford Field yesterday for the Lions vs. Packers. (Poor lions :( ) There were 3 TVs inside of it, one of them on live feed (read: no delay) and 2 of them with NFL Direct Ticket. It was catered with really good food and all the drinks you want. They bring around a dessert cart in the 3rd quarter and you can order from some huge selection of pretty amzing-looking desserts. IT HAS ITS OWN BATHROOM. That last feature is the most special feature of all.

I've been to luxury boxes for all 4 major sports, and I have to say that I've never had a bad time in one. Sure, you're not right up in the action, but I'd take a luxury box over a seat outside of the first 15 or so rows any day of the week.

I'll give a thumbs up to luxury boxes as well. I went to a pre season Cardinals game a few years back and sat in a box. It happened to be monsoon season so early on in the game the rain started pouring down. The "free" food and drinks were great while I stayed dry in the box being entertained watching the people in the stands get drenched. The game itself between the Cardinals and Bears sucked.

LOL yeah they gouge the living shit out of whoever is hosting the group in the box for the food and drinks.

At turner field, a 12oz bottle of Amstel Light is like $8 in the boxes, and popcorn is like $6.

so you can just imagine what trays of wings, and bottles of wine and so on go for. i only know the above stuff because my wife has hosted events there. I think she had a box for like 12 people and dropped $1000 on the food/drinks, and it wasnt even heavy drinking.

Yeah, when the Lions still played at the Pontiac Silverdome, my brother's friend's family owned a box there, so he and his friends would go to the games all the time. They were in college and big drinkers and it wasn't uncommon for them to spend several hundred dollars on beer alone. I shit you not, a case (24) of cans of bud light was $96.

Never been in a luxary box for football, good to hear you can see pretty well. Baseball and hockey boxes are both excellent for viewing games. The amenities and private bathroom completely rocks.

Hell, even box seats are pretty cool. Usually get to a couple of yankees games above the home dugout. A lot less movement because a waitstaff takes your food orders.
