Fuuuuuuuuck!

West is best! ASU stomped all the east coast teams and is now getting stomped by the #1 west coast team. USC is a lock #1 over #2 Oklahoma that struggled against Kansas State.

42-7 at half...Go Devils! Lets get 5 quick TDs!

Interception.

Hell I'd take a loss if it was to USC and think I did pretty damn good that year.

Sad thing is.. I don't think Oklahoma is the second best team in the country, but they will go to the championship game.

I don't think that is true. Since, it looks like USC will be in the championship game. An at large BCS team will get their place in the Rose Bowl. It won't default to the second place PAC10 team. However, Cal has a good shot at grabbing an at large BCS bid but ASU has no chance in hell to get an at large BCS bid. Even if they win versus Cal, the will be starting from to far back in the polls to mack it back to one top ten BCS standings. My guess is that ASU will be around 25+ in the BCS poll on Monday.

I wish the Big Ten had a championship game so I can see Michigan play Wisconsin this year. Maybe they can meet in the Rose Bowl.

You sure about that? I am pretty damn sure that it will still go to a pac 10 team? That was how it was drawn up at first anyway, god knows they change it every week it seems

If the team that would normally go to a bowl, goes to the championship game instead the bowl is free to pick an at large bid.

Thats how it has always been.

The national championship game will rotate each year between the BCS Bowls in this order Fiesta, Sugar, Orange, Rose. The bowl game that hosts the national championship loses its conference tie-in with the exception that the conference champion for the bowl is number one or number two in the BCS final rankings. For instance, in 1999, the Sugar Bowl hosted the national championship game, so the SEC champion is not guaranteed the Sugar Bowl unless it finishes #1 or #2 in the final BCS rankings. Florida State and Virginia Tech played in the Sugar Bowl in 1999 so the Orange Bowl, which lost both of its conference tie-ins to the national championship game, gets first choice of the remaining BCS bowls for at-large teams. Any of the BCS bowls may choose the SEC champ. The Orange Bowl chose Michigan as an at large selection. Nebraska went to the Fiesta Bowl as Big XII champs. The Fiesta Bowl could choose the SEC champion, or the second at-large team. The Rose Bowl does not get a selection as both conference tie-ins were filled by Wisconsin and Stanford. The Fiesta Bowl chose Tennessee as an at large selection, which left the SEC champion, Alabama, for the Orange Bowl
Sounds like the rose bowl would get to choose it's at large team... and provided Cal wins out they would certainly take a pac 10 team for traditions sake

They could, but you never know. The year OSU won the national title they overlooked Iowa, because they felt Iowa didn't travel well. Iowa ended up getting pounded in the orange bowl that year.

Don't forget the Utes! I'm planning my holidays around the Fiesta Bowl down here.

I know, I know. Even if they win out, they probably won't move up much farther in either poll. Texas A&M ain't too bad a team this year and the Utes gave em a good thumping. Unfortunately, that looks like the only ranked team the Utes will play all season. :(
