Foreign policy to change no matter who wins?

Post by Kelshara »

Interesting read, talks about possible foreign policy changes even if Bush wins, different views on foreign policy within the Republican party and questions wether Rice, Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz will be around.

Excellent article!
Even from within Republican ranks, strong criticism has been directed at Mr Bush's handling of foreign affairs, most recently by Brent Scowcroft.

When George W Bush's father was president, Mr Scowcroft was the White House national security adviser. And now he has had some unpleasant things to say about the younger Bush's stewardship over US foreign policy.

Mr Scowcroft told the Financial Times newspaper that George W is mesmerised by the Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon; that the Bush administration's current efforts to enlist UN and Nato help in Iraq and Afghanistan are a desperate move to "rescue a failing venture"; and that America's unilateralist stance had contributed to the decline of the Atlantic alliance.
Oh, my God; I care so little, I almost passed out.

It would definitly make me feel better if he gets re-elected and several of his people change. Some of the people he has with him scare the shit out of me due to the way they think.

I would hope his cabinet is shuffled a bit. Keep Cheney as our leader though.

I don't think Bush would be that bad without such horribly advisors and a equally horrible canbinet.

Wait, am I missing something? Why would he wait til AFTER he's elected to shuffle out all the grade-A fucking lunatics? Isn't it standard policy to make these kinds of promises BEFORE you get elected, and then take a 7-month vacation, leaving everything exactly the same for the next 4 years?

Lets not get excited here. Maybe a few changes would be beneficial but there's no need for a massive overhaul. I enjoy the references to satan though from the liberal fanatics.

Suck up that liberal propaganda!

-Bush is going to reinstate the draft!

rofl, stupid fucks. stupid stupid fucks. How do you think Kerry is going to increase our armed forces by 2 divisions? DRAFT. You morons are so blind you don't realize it's the democrats that have pushed for the draft and the democrats that have the most reason for a draft.

If anybody blindly sucks up the lies here it is you Winnow along with Midnyte and the rest of the idiot choir from the right.

- Rumsfeld needs to go.
- Wolfowitz needs to go.
- Rice needs to go.
- Ashcroft needs to go.
- I'd prefere for Cheney to go as well but that wont happen.

All of the above people are working against what America stands for imho. They are, to quote so many of you Republicans here, unamerican. And we can't have that now, can we?

Atually talking with our allies and pulling some strings would help a lot.

Unfortunately you might be right...a draft will likely have to happen no matter who gets in power. Either that or we cut our losses and evacuate now. I wouldn't be totally opposed to that but we'll have to beef up security way more in that case. The republicans though will likely blame the dems for causing an increase in terror by not finishing their jobs. But sorry but who fucked it up in the first place?

I think a piece of celery would do a better job of foereign policy than Bush though.

Explain, that's an incredibly slanderous statement to make without anything to back you up.

How is that 'slanderous'?

You're just a fucking parrot like Winnow and Midnyte.
You cry like a fucking baby when someone criticizes Bush but you're quick to criticize everyone else.

You're just a liberal parrot. You whine about anything Bush does.

I would hardly call it slanderous, and that comming from you is truly a joke. Look into the limitation of rights, the labeling of anyone questioning them as being un-patriotic, attempts to use scare tactics on the American people.. well that's a good start for you.

Now how my comment was any more slanderous than the crap you and your kind spew on a daily basis is beyond me.

Well, it isn't slander at all. For one, slander is spoken. Not to mention slander typically means to make a false statement of fact. Expressing an opinion can hardly be called slander.
