VVFF Week 5

Post by Bubba Grizz »

Too pissed to make it pretty today.

Atlantic AssPirates over Sleazy Cheese
Dorf's Brawlers over Longhorns by a .6 margin
Wonderlics over Animales
LA TrafficSucks over Far Seers
Shop S-Mart over Shockers
Aluminum Curtain over St. Louis Hitmen

I was at the game last night and I have to say I was pissed. We left with about 10 minutes left in the game. While I was getting home I guess there were 3 more scores but nothing that would make a difference.

I really wasn't expecting this squeaker. I saw several big plays for my players get overturned on penalties.

I must say that the Packers Defense is fucking shitty as hell. At this rate, I predict Favre will be retiring this year. I wouldn't want to play with such a horrid defense.

I think we need to institute a rule for non-playing fuckers. I am getting my ass handed to me but I am still playing the game. We need to replace inactives with people who want to play. I say the commish kicks inactives out and gives their team to another VV member to manage.

I say you do this after my game against the non playing team this week : )

Actually, since several have already played against the team, it's not really fair to make the rest play against a managed team.

The only thing you can do is try harder next time to get people that will play. It's very hard to do that with an open invitation on VV for sign up. I think next time, Bubba should announce a league and then you have to PM him with a quick paragraph about your dedication to the league and ability to make the draft, etc.

Kilmoll is suspect for next year because he had a default draft pick in the third round! Thomas Jones! One more of those and he's disqualified with a lifetime ban!

I don't think it is possible to add new teams at this point. Remember teams are tied to the yahoo email address and such. Next year I will look into a more viable way of running things. Maybe not use Yahoo.

and lets not forget that my defense is averaging 24.33 points a week....and thomas friggin jones is only averaging 22.88 a week. That is the difference between winning and losing. My defenses this year...Detroit and the Jets...both picked up as free agents after the draft.

You shoulda listened to my advice Winnow and taken Thomas Jones in the 2nd round :)

Although, as I had the Priest Holmes pick in my FF draft as well this year, I understand that you would have had to kiss your week 5 goodbye with both Jones and Holmes on bye weeks.

Thomas Jones was a good call by you and I should have gotten him in the 3rd as was my plan.

The good news is that I was able to get Thomas Jones in the 5th round of my money league which allowed me to grab Terrel Owens in top of the third. I've been doing quite well pairing TJ up with LT2.

I'm glad I avoided Michael Bennet at least up to this point.

Ugh I had Bennet in the hopes that he would be good to go after their bye but the bastard is still out. I dumped him. Even if he gets to play it will only be part time and he will suck compared to Ontario Smith.
