Ignore lists
I don't have anyone on ignore, but have heard some folks say that it's worth having certain people on ignore. Tossing around the idea of adding a few folks who don't offer anything to this board.
So my question is, who do you have on ignore and has it made your VV experience a little better in some way?

I took the only person I've ever had on ignore off. Too many people quoted her for it to be worthwhile.

I know I'm good at what I do, but I know I'm not the best.
But I guess that on the other hand, I could be like the rest.

I have 1-2 people on my list. Most of the time, the population in Ignoreland consists just of Cartalas, but every now and then, Midnyte joins him for a while when I can't stand anymore of his drivel.
And yeah, it has improved my VV-EXPERIENCE dramatically. I no longer grab random blunt and heavy objects at the sign of the banners.

I still have Searyx on mine, just in case.

Cartalas is the only one.
It's much nicer to not have to see hit pointless, juvenile personal attacks.
I post mostly in the CE forum and people like Midnyte, Metanis and a few other irritate me from time to time but I would never consider putting them on ignore.

I find that the ignore feature inhibits my ability to follow a thread: I am able to filter and ignore irrelevant comments better when I can see them. If certain comments are hidden, it disrupts the flow of the thread for me and makes me damn curious as to what I am missing!
I do not use the feature, and don't see the need to. I would assume that it is normal for people to hear and read things that they don't like in their daily lives; I imagine that people are able to disregard the noise under these circumstances without having them editted out in advance, so there is no reason not to do so on these boards.
Finally, I am an eternal optimist as far as people go: I will always remain hopeful that habitual flamers will join into meaningful conversation at some point.

Actually, I have [you] on ignore too... what an asshole.Cracc wrote:I just got [you] on mine, i cant fucking stand the constant mindless drivel.
In most cases, it does.I find that the ignore feature inhibits my ability to follow a thread:
But for shitheads like Cartalas where 99% of their 'contributions' are one liners insulting Dregor's weight, personal attacks using derogatory homosexual 'insults' or a basic 'fuck off', the ignore function doesn't prevent you from following any threads.
In the CE forum, I think maybe 1 of Cartalas past 50 posts have contained anything resembling an opinion on current events.

I went for a long time with noone on ignore. I finally added Cartalas and the board has become a much happier place for me to read. If someone were to go particularly crazy posting all over the place ruining every thread like he did I might consider them for ignore as well, but as of right now noone else sucks that bad.

hehe the two who offer nothing of value to a thread in CE, yet seem to post a lot. I'm sure its pretty obvious who I'm talking about
