Anyone seen it yet?
I know its been out a lil over a week now but no thread? It took some hits from the critics but more than enough times Ive found myself disagreeing with those fogeys. Ive contemplated seeing it sometime this week on...
1. Julianne Moore's in it. that sexy lil red-head...
B. the scene in the trailer where the dude flies up through the roof looks badass.
D. havent seen a good "thriller" since The Ring.
It's pretty good. Deffinately some scary/startling scenes. I found it to be entertaining, but sometimes cheesy/predictable. Plot was interesting, but could have gone deeper. I wouldn't go by the reviewers, because Rottentomatoes had it at 38% rating. I'd give it like a 6.5 or 7 of 10. If you feel like seeing a movie and aren't sure what to see, I'd say this is one of the better ones in the theatres.
Spoil it for me, I'm not going to have time to go see it. =\

But I guess that on the other hand, I could be like the rest.
My wife loved it but I thought it was a bit predictable and boring. It was one of those movies that beats you in the face with it's subtleties. It was a good idea just not well executed. I would give it a 5 out of 10.
Hot mama (Moore) with ugly husband is running around trying to find her son. Everyone tells her she is crazy and never had a son. Evidence of her son is slowly removed from her. She meets good looking guy (also missing daughter) and surpisingly they don't fuck each other. Must be in the un-cut version. NSA (No Such Agency) shows up and tries to take hero and heroine into custody. They run around and somehow evade professional agents. With agents like those, no wonder terrorists get into US so easily. They figure out that some airline owner is stealing children. Owner turns out to be invincible alien bad boy with mind control powers. Moore cries some and aliens give everyone's children back. The End
Moore is seeing a psychiatrist, after all evidence of her son vanishes, she freaks out(she believes, and has memories that he, and some of his classmates got on a plane that got lost, or crashed.). Her doctor tells her that she is suffering from a syndrome where she made up a fake life, because she had a miscarriage.
She thinks this is teh bullshit, so she runs off and goes to see this dude who had a daughter that was on this alleged plane that crashed as well. He does not remember at first, and pretends to be debating it, and walks off and calls the cops on her. He comes back and tells her she is teh crazy and that he called the cops.
Cops take her, NSA takes her from cops, he remembers his daughter a few minutes later, runs out, beats the living shit out of one of the nsa's while the other chases moore who takes off on foot.
They both get away, meet up later, and are on the run from the NYPD, and the NSA folk for most of the movie. They begin to get more clues as to what is going on, and finally run off to hide at this cabin in upstate NY.
One of the NSA's follows them there, and moore's sidekick blindsides him, MR. NSA wakes up tied to a chair, they make him tell them what the hell is going on.
He tells them that the nsa is cooperating with "them" because they have to, else all the world gets teh pwned. He doesn't give them much detail, and they try to press more out of them, just as he is about to say more, it goes quiet, and he says "they are listening" and whoosh, the whole house, and the nsa dude get sucked into the air.
They run more, find the airline their kids rode on to get to the bottom of this "experiment" that the aliens are running. they find the airline went out of business, and con the lawyer there into giving them the presidents address. They go to his house, and find out he is teh alien boss.
NYPD gets a tip that these two conned the lawyer for his address, and the police officer shows up with moore's shrink from earlier on. cop makes shrink wait in car, cop goes up towards house in pursuit of moore's partner in crime (i cant remember his damn name). Cop comes up to the house and see's the airline president , and alien (although he looks normal), she tells him to stop, he doesnt, she shoots him in leg, it heals immediately. She shoots him twice more, same result.
She takes off and finds moore, and starts to tell her that she believes her, that she saw this dude, and he is definately not teh human. And starts to tell moore that she will help get her kid back so on so forth, and poof, she gets sucked up into the air.
Moore and buddy meet at his appartment after this, with shrink as well. crazy alien dude shows up there, moore's buddy bum rushes him, alien dude grabs him and pulls them both out the window, as they are falling moore's buddy goes poof off into the sky as well, alien lands and gets up and walks away.
Moore and shrink go back to airport, see alien dude. Shrink walks up to him and says something like, this is enough , its done, just make everything right again. Alien dude is like, no it's not teh finished.
Shrink then explains to moore he knows what is going on and has been a tool of the aliens in making many other people believe they never had kids like he was doing to her.
He stays, moore goes in pursuit of mr. alien. Finds him, he proceeds to tell her that he is conducting an experiment on something he did not understand. The bond, or "tissue" as he puts it, between a mother and her child, and if they can break that tissue. He tells her it has been entirely successful except for in her case.
He then does this really cool scream, and makes his head like morph, and his scream blows out all the windows in the place. He tells her he needs to forget because he is responsible for this experiment and if it fails he is in teh deep shit. She says piss off and runs. He gets her, tells her to remember her first memory of her son, and then snatches it away from her..
Moments later he asks her what her boys name was, she says what boy?
He thinks he won and starts to walk away, then it starts to come back to her, she gets up and is like, i had a child, and his name was same, you sonofabitch. He stops, turns around
All of the sudden you hear all these whispers, and mr alien dude says "I need more time" and poof, whole roof of airline is gone along with mr alien.
She runs, goes home, finds son on playground, see's old mr. partner and his daughter, and they all live happily ever after.
Long, I know, but if you don't want to see it that's the bulk of the story, I liked it a lot, could have been in depth a bit more on a few things, but overall I would give it an 8 of 10.
