absolutly, if you hadn't gone against the will of the rest of the world to bomb the crap out of Iraq, i'm positive you'd all be speaking some hullah hullah language and your women would be covered from head to toe right now !

You don't have to do it out of a respect for the administration. You don't have to do it out of a respect of your peers. You do it because it is one of the costs of enjoying the freedoms you have and everything else you recieve from society. If I am called for the draft, I'll go. I'll do the service of fighting for my country to pay it back for the rights and the privledges I enjoy as an American citizen. I don't agree with the war - but if my country needs me to serve it in a military role, I'll do it. It's just the price we have to pay.

Teeny: Read this forum bud. 90% of the posts that are made here are complaints about one thing or the other. Have you ever read a post here about how Good things are? About what good we're doing, both inside the country and out? We have a collection of posters here - a good chunk of them aren't even within our borders - telling the other posters how much they suck, how dumb they are, because they disagree with what the 'politcally correct' feeling is of the time and how much this thing sucks and how much that thing sucks. It's comming across as so very whiney it's almost nauesating. Almost no one ever gets credit for the good things that are accomplished in this country on a day to day basis.

Ask any soldier who's fought to defend this country... There's nothing 'fun' about dying.

Just out of curiosity, protecting the whiney little brats from what? (I'd go if called, but I don't agree with the need)
no?

Maybe if we started this war on terror a decade ago, 3000+ people wouldn't have died on 9/11/2001.
bwhahahahahah

your simplicity never ceases to amaze me :D

Good for you. When did I ever say you were voting for Bush?

Besides which, act your fucking age and attack my position, because your petty insults just make you look childish; not strong, resolute, passionate, or Texan.
Let's see you said
And I love you dogmatic jarheads too.
and you lecture others on name calling. Your position is not stable one, because you argue against rathen than arguing for anything. This makes you a dumbfuck, so take it less as an insult and more as a term describing your political stance.

Oh I'm sorry, do you need it spelt out for you?

I'm for real international support of invasion of soverign countries for clear and honest reasons.

I'm for recognising that an intrinsic component of representative democracy is representing the citizenry of your country. Yeah, that means listening to the people and doing what they want, even if they're wrong.

I'm pro-choice.

I'm a conservationist rather than preservationist.

I'm for being agressive where there is a clear and present danger.

As to calling you dogmatic, you clearly are. There's no question, you talk in terms of black and white and moral imperatives. It's indesputable.

Jarhead, well.. hey, isn't that the term some in the military use to describe themselves? If not, my bad.

Admittedly it was a reaction to your slanderous trash talking, but it's not even in the same league as calling someone a fuckhead because they don't agree with you or want to subscribe to your belief structure.

Again, you can qualify yourself however you like really, I don't give a good god damn what you think when it comes down to it. Besides, you haven't directly addressed anything I've argued, just stamped your feet and cursed.

Jarhead is a negative term for marines, which they do not like, nor does it even apply well to soldiers as it traces back to a uniform type worn by the marines.

I am for all the things you are for, but I do not wear rose colored glasses. There is less oil producing capability in the world than demand, within 50 years there will be less available and capacity to produce oil will therefore be rreduced to a point at which oil because more expensive than coal, or even nuclear, solar, or wind power to produce. Also the lack of cheap energy will bring up the prices of non oil related power production to the point at which it will not be affordable. The world will grind to a complete fucking halt. The only chances of this not happening are from the extremely remote fucking chance ( one in billions ) we perfect fusion by then. But lack of transportation, lack of petroleum based fertilizers, petroleum based plastics, cost of heating, cost of cooling, destruction of the information age will all result in a dramatic die off of the human population leading to the saving of the environment. This will happen, it is not a doctrine, or a guess, or a desire to be right, this is based on fact. The current moves of the United States government and the tendancy of Europe to ease off backing the US are to be expected, the need to secure dwindling oil supplies is expected, and the fact is that no matter who is the next President we will have troops in the Middle East. Over the next 50 years no matter who is the President, civil liberties will decline, literacy will decline, standard of living will decline. None of the candidates or Presidents since Carter has made any effort to even address the issue.

Therefore you can enjoy your sense of superiority because you want to see the good side of things, I will deal with the fact that man minus easy living becomes animal. I will support the policies that cause the least harm and face reality in the strongest manner possible.

Just what part of the shitheap neon monstrosity of a land were you talking about?

Pretty stupid considering if you were to ever be invaded we'd probably be the first country to come to your defense. People are stupid and violent, which is why the world needs armies. It only takes one bad egg to spoil an omlette!
