What did John Kerry say in the debates that you had not already heard him say? What new information did he give you and what did he say that made his stance clear.

He made it clear that his stance is evasive and in constant cycle. He hopes that at some point you like something he says and that you forget the rest. It's kind of like abstract art. You look at it and think, wtf is that? And then you see something recognizable in a corner of the painting and forget the rest of the confusing painting and focus on the part you like.

He's sneaky like that!

He made clear to the narrow minded Bush supporters who cannot comprehend a position on Iraq that isn’t black and white that he has had a constant, and better position on Iraq then GW ever did.
He voted for the authorization to go to war, in order to put pressure on Saddam and to keep the option of invasion open as a last resort. If extensive inspections and global support, confirmed that Iraq had WMD, then an invasion would be necessary. Bush rushed in to war, and as a result we didn’t finish our inspections which would have shown Iraq had no WMD, and an invasion in itself would be unnecessary. Another major draw back is that Bush never created a tactic to win the peace, this carelessness is responsible for almost a thousand American deaths after an official end to "major combat." In short

-John Kerry voted to go to war and would have supported a NECISSARY INVASION
-John Kerry, as most of the American public now knows the invasion of Iraq was un necessary, and it has been a complete failure and huge set back in "the war on terror"
-John Kerry will try to win back support of our allies and re-establish our country as a credible nation who will only go to war when it has to, and not when it wants to
=John Kerry will fight to give power to the Iraqis and try to begin brining home our troops as soon as 6 months from now

oh, and
-John Kerry isn’t a fucking moron with a 93 IQ and several learning disabilities who cannot put together a comprehendible sentence.

I know a few previous “undecided voters” some leaning towards Kerry and other towards Bush who are, as a result of the debate now fully supporting Kerry’s attempt to win back the white house from Bush’s failed neoconservative administration.

In a week or so(two weeks max), polls will show John Kerry has regained a lead over GW

Kerry didn't say anything new. He just said what Clinton's people told him his new position would be, in a better fashion than Bush.

Bush is a shitty debater. Kerry is a great debater.

For people who are just artifical idiots who subscribe to symbolism over substance, then Kerry is the man for the job.

For those who are intelligent enough and have the ability to look beyond what affects us personally, Bush is the man for the job.

I have tried to play nice for a while now. Respecting others opinions, but this has come to an end. If you truly think Kerry would be better for the US and the world then I have lost all respect for you. I have a lot of old guild mate friends who come here and post. I still love you and cherish our times together, but politically speaking, you have become inferior to me. I look down upon with pity and shame.

You are a raging idiot Mid.

Bush is the epitome of style over substance. His message from the debate was this... "Kerry is a flip-flopper," and "I KNOW how hard it is to be President, let me do it some more!" I mean, come on... those are not exactly substantive positions.

The administration of George W. Bush has managed in 4 short years to single handedly ruin the previous 20+ years of international diplomacy. Starting with his father as the U.S. Rep to the U.N., through the Reagan years where the U.N., while somewhat maligned, still played an important role in international stability, and especially through the Bush Sr. and Clinton years, where the U.N. became the primary source of stability and democracy throughout the world. This was not something to be thrown aside and called useless.

We will be spending at least the next 10 years trying to correct the foreign affairs mistakes of George W. Bush. It may not be possible even within that timeframe. In his drive to win his so called "war on terror" he has doomed us to, for the forseeable future, a hostile world where the common man cheers the actions of David's against the U.S. Goliath. We went from the innocent victim after 9/11 to an overbearing bully who "deserves" what he gets. This is NOT where we want to be.

This does not even address the failures of the Bush administration on the domestic front. Perhaps we'll talk about those after Bush puts his thumb up his ass at the next debate.

In other words:

2+2=5 and if you disagree with me your a fucking idiot, i know this because my momma told me 2+2=5 and im too superior to the average human to think for myself. Anyone can see 2+2=5 unless your a liberal douche bag looking for a logical answer and progression socially, economically and on a world scale.

So someone who disagrees with you politically is an inferior person? Having a view that differs from yours is shameful? I think you would have done well in the Soviet Union around 1952.

In this case.....yes. Not generally, but in this specific case....yes. People who can honestly say Kerry would be a better president, disgust me and have a really fucked up view of the world.

The same can be said about people who think Bush is better for presidency. Wow Midnyte, you do know you sound a lot like a dictator.

And I'll add, I hope to God your kids don't turn out the way you do.

I don't want to know who likes Bush or Kerry, that has been made clear on this board. I also didn't want to hear attacks on Bush, I wanted to know what Kerry said that was new information to you.

I would say no, because most of the Kerry supporters here were aware of his positions before the debate... and lets be honest, Kerry's supporters HAD to know his positions otherwise they had no real reason to support him. "Bush is a moron and a threat to global peace" can be a rather compelling argument to some, but its hardly enough to convince most people to support someone else.

Now what about the reverse? What new things did Bush come out with in the debate?

Oooh, that's the one! I was trying to remember what incredibly unlikely word he came out with.

Way not to look coached there, George! You can't pronounce nuclear, you don't know what soverign means, but you're completely comfortable with an obscure word like vociferous!

One of the differences between the candidates was supposed to be hearing new things from Kerry, but the President reinforcing the same positions he's always had. Glad to see that's what you guys took away from it as well.

The ads that came out the next day are a reflection of what people seem to be looking for in their chosen candidate - style (faces video) vs. substance (kerry vs kerry).

MS Paint comes standard on windows installs! It's not under accessories? What kind of sick company would deprive it's employees of MS Paint?
