It's funny. the Lady Lola.
Graphics are great as always, and Smith does a good job with the script.
Some good moral points in it too.
Akaran of Mistmoore, formerly Akaran of Veeshan I know I'm good at what I do, but I know I'm not the best.
But I guess that on the other hand, I could be like the rest.
I saw a story stemming from this on the news today that about made me want to puke...
first off, I saw the movie and enjoyed it.
But anyhow, the news story was about how.. I believe it was the sons & daughters of italy were working along with others to boycott this movie, because of how it depicts italians as mobsters....
Ok now, I am Sicilian, and am fully aware that not all italians are like this. But some still are and LOTS used to be, and just because the sharks have robert deniro voiced as their "boss" does not mean the movie producers and writers were trying to portray all Italians that way..
I mean come on, think of it this way, how many movies have you seen where Robert Deniro was not a mobster, or otherwise involved in criminal activity.
I was just disgusted by that.. I mean, it is a fact there were lots of mobsters that reacted the way they are portrayed in the mob movies. These people complaining about this is like white people getting pissed off when the movie Roots came out because it portrays white people owning slaves.
In both cases not all of that ethnicity is being portrayed, just a certain group within it.
Thought I would share that info and how stupid I thought it was to make something like this out of a harmless, (and in my mind very good) childrens movie.
They are sharks who live underwater not Italians! Some people have too much freetime.
I thought it was a decent movie. Had some good references in there. My favorite was probably when the little shrimp guy said "Say hello to my little friends"
