That is what I don't get though. From what I have read, Kerry has changed his vote due to add-ons etc to bills. How is that different than this?

Kelshara from what Im trying to remember. Bush veto'd it the first time because there were major concerns about lawsuit abuse in parts of it, which he is also against.

He was for the main part of the bill. He told them to fix it and bring it back next session. He is the Executive remember, so they went back to fix it. He was never against the patient bill of rights.

Two years later they partially fixed it and he let it pass.

He saw that it helped in Texas and was a good bill, so hes for it nationally aswell..thats why this partisan site is mis-leading. Might aswell drink F9/11 Koolaid.

Sirton,
I think you need to re-read Kelshara's post. The point is not why Bush was reasonable in taking his actions and signing a bill he previously vetoed. As I indicated at the top of this thread - that is perfectly normal politics because of our "amendment" style of legislation. The question is, why is it ok when Bush does this and evil "flip-flopping" when Kerry does the same thing?

So it is ok in one case and not the other? Even though Bush has changed his mind on some of the same bills as Kerry did? Why not just come out and say it straight out that it is ok for Bush to do it and not for Kerry?

Its politics when it gets down to it..while I agree much of its sorta stretching it for Kerry.. Much of that is also stretching on Bush. its what they want to tell you to motivate you to vote for there guy and a ton of BS and to demotivate you too vote for the other guy.

I do have a major prob. with Kerry's different statements on Iraq over just the past year.

Didn't Guliani shack up with a mistress the last year of his marriage or something like that?

Too often it seems it is the peaceful and innocent who are slaughtered. In this a lesson may be found that it may not be prudential to be either too peaceful or too innocent. One does not survive with wolves by becoming a sheep.

Man you need to get over that. I don't know how many times people have posted here that the judges put a stop to the very subjective recount. That's it. Nothing more. Just stop you're crying already.

I guess that makes him a Democrat!

Guliani/Gary Hart in 2008!

btw...I was all for a Gephart/Hart ticket in 1988 if they would run under the "Hart Foundation" title. Lets see if any of you actually get that reference....

I've found it to be about equal democrats and republicans with (outted) mistresses. The difference is - republicans are our 'family values' people.

Exactly! It's ok for democrats like Bill Clinton to stick cigars in pussies, get blow jobs, etc from interns and then be stuck sleeping on the couch while your family is pissed at you during the time you should be making strike decisions on Osama in Afghanistan. He's a democrat. Family values don't matter. All is OK.

Hmmm, I'll take the republican side on this one. If Hillary was ok with him fucking around it would be a different story but from Bill's own words in his book, that wasn't the case.

Good thing you have the time required to check Kerry's website every 15 mins or so to make sure he hasn't changed his mind on any given issue.

G is the man.

Gotta love any mayor who refits all the benches in Central Park with hand-railings every 2 feet from left to right so that homeless people can't sleep on em.

In fact, that cured the homeless problem right there!
