the main reason I hate people who enjoy debating is they completely ignore any rational reasoning and look to do nothing but strengthen their argument with anything they can possibly come up with....no matter how ridiculous it would be in what I would call the "real world" logic.
Real world logic states that our military did not send some order down to these retards to humiliate prisoners. These were some complete fuckwads who acted on their own to get some perverse amusement. Your debate logic says that anyone in the military is acting under direct orders from GWB himself for any action they perform. Joe Grunt != presidential directives.
You may need to do some digging to establish a timeline, but i believe the beheadings came before any news of the prisoner abuse scandals. I agree that these idiots did not help and most likely caused it to be worse.....but those animals were torturing people and killing them with no regard to Geneva conventions from the start. Bush and co are sticking to the Geneva Convention as the rules are written. If you don't like the rules, you can write to every country involved and have them changed.

Funny, look like pure assumption to me...I see no logic which dictates that that is necessarily so. I share the assumption in this case, but don't pretend it is logically derived.Kilmoll the Sexy wrote:Real world logic states that our military did not send some order down to these retards to humiliate prisoners.

You misunderstand....certain rules of logic do apply to the real world. Debating logic does not. I can, for instance, debate that 1+1 does not equal 2. I can also prove it mathematically.....but real world rules knows that it is false. I could take 2 entirely false statements and someone who was a very good debated could prove them to be true if they argued against a weaker debater....although the real world states that they are false.Sueven wrote:I love you and all Kilmoll, but you can't win an argument by claiming that the rules of logic don't apply in the real world.
I'm also almost positive that Abu Ghraib preceded the beheadings. I'll try to do a little digging to find out for sure.
I would like to see the timeline myself. I haven't had time to really dig to look at dates.

The incidents photographed in Abu gharib occurred Oct Nov 2003...Tagbua's report got out in February...Nick Berg was killed in May...
And actually CNN was reporting about it in January

Found the timelines mostly....
April 28 is when the first release to the public detailed the prisoner abuse. May 11th is when the Berg beheading aired. Can't find when he was kidnapped.....it was between April 6 and May 8.
4 U.S. contractors were killed and dismembered before Berg was beheaded. Was looking to establish dates on that.
