How is your Fantasy Football team doing?

Post by Bubba Grizz »

I suffered my first loss last week due to a weak performance by Rich Gannon who had 2 picks and 3 fumbles. So now my record is 5-1 and I fall to second place. I play the first place guy this weekend and I am a bit worried because of his mighty Priest Holmes and Drew Bledsoe. Hopefully Ahman Green can counter Holmes.

Ricky Williams is carrying my team with a little help from Charlie Garner and Shaun Alexander. oh yeah mix in Peyton Manning and the #1 kicker in the league.

My league is much more tight. I am one of four teams that is 4-2. I am second in total points. Faulk hasn't done as well for me as I had hoped and Wilkins can kick for anything this year =( McNabb and the TB defense is carrying me.

Oofta. What are you going to do this weekend? Tampa goes to Philly. I have Tampa's Defense but I also have Chad Lewis and Todd Pinkston. I benched both Eagles for this weekend. I couldn't see myself cheering against my defense.

5-1 most head to head. Lead in points scored by about 50.

Charlie Garner has been my work horse.

It's called "Fantasy" because you take the best players from all the teams to form one uber team. At least that is if you were playing by yourself. The fun comes in when you have 12 people trying to create their uber teams using the best players of the league that are available to them. It is kind of like the Team USA basketball team. All of them are the best the NBA has to offer playing on one team.

Bubba,

I am still going to play both McNabb and the TB defense. Both are leading the league in their categories (Mcnabb is now #2, but the #1 passed him as he was sitting last week on bye). I can't really root for both, but will just have to wait and see what happens. My backup QBs are Jim Miller (who is hurt) and Maddox. I would rather take my chances with McNabb :D

This might be the perfect game to start Lewis. If Phily gets close to the end zone, he will probably be the one to get lost in coverage.

Good luck this weekend.

Here is my problem with fantasy sports:

1. Baseball - I am a Mets fan, hence I am retarded and pick a bunch of Mets players. Result - I lost

2. Football - I am a Broncos fan, and a rabid one at that. I pick a bunch of Broncos players(they are the best...right????? :P) Result - Losing bad.

Maybe next year I will pull my head out of my ass and actually try and diversify, hehehehe. This was my first time for fantasy sports, unless you count that strange ex-girlfriends sandwich dream I had the other night.

My team is in first place at 5-1 with 2 teams at 4-2, thanks to a fantastic performance from Brett Favre on Monday night a couple weeks ago. I beat the "Priest Holmes" team in my league that week. I'm in 6th place in total points though.
