Stress test over

Post by masteen »

I must say that I was very impressed with the game. Aside of having to install a new driver for my NIC, the whole thing from download to login was pretty smooth. There were a couple server hiccups, but nothing worse that happened in early EQ, and this was FREE.

The world is really beautiful. Yes, everything is exaggerated, but the elements really come together beautifully. I wish I could have gotten in earlier than Friday so I could have seen more of it.

got a chance to play on Friday for several hours. Got my little dwarven paly to lvl 9 during that time.

I thought the quests were overly simple, or at least the ones I did running around through the small part of the world I saw.

Loved the graphics and the smoothness of play though. Overall I left with a good impression of the game and will definitely play it at release.

I have no idea how it pans out at higher level, but the quests have to be simple. They need to be approachable for non-MMO veterans. I loved the content (quests) in Tirisfal and Silverpine; I will be playing an undead at release.

The quests get harder and are usually multi part affairs later on.

Btw Nvidia is doing a contest with bliz and giving out 1k more closed beta accounts for those that are feeling lucky.

Yeah, some of the ones I did in the Barrens w/ my cow shammy were pretty tough, including the very first one, which was my quest for my fire totem. I miss that bovine fleabag so much :(
