Have you even seen Supersize Me? It's good and it's relevant, but not nearly as important as the information given to you by Fahrenheit 9/11. Theres a big difference between people dying because of their own gluttonous behavior and innocent people dying because they are being bombed to hell and shot to death for a bullshit cause.

yeah I'm sure the exclusive hot infoz provided in supersize me is a lot more noteworthy than how corrupt the bush administration is and how they lied to america and lied to the world to justify their little oil grab. I mean, who knew that consuming 5000 calories a day would make you fat?!

You're probably right...minus that SSMe was an actually study and not falsified and F911 is all conjecture, opinion, propaganda and spin. Yeah, geez, I guess you're right.

Hey that's how we communicate now. Ever watched Fox News? Ever watched a Bush speech?

I've never seen F911 (I started reading one of Moore books, and grew a dislike fro him), but I'm sure it's not ALL bunk. If it were, the movie would not do well.

The way I see it is it's more of a response to the load of crap that comes from the other side.

Did you see a very heathly body fall apart after just a few weeks of eating at McDonalds? Did you see the ravages his body went through in such a short time? Can you honestly tell me you knew it would affect him that suddenly?

Yes there was valuable information provided in that film. Yes there is valuable info in F911, but jesus, does that make it a Academy Award Winner for Best Picture??

That was my point. It made people talk, great. Some people talked about all the lies they saw in it. Other people talked about all the truths they saw in it, great. Did it accomplish anything other then make a fat man from somewhere around Flint michigan rich? Nope. The people that felt that way about the war before the movie still do and the people who felt otherwise still feel otherwise. It is not the Best Picture, even in a down year.

edit - because I suck at spelling
When I was younger, I used to think that the world was doing it to me and that the world owes me some thing…When you're a teeny bopper, that's what you think. I'm 40 now, I don't think that anymore, because I found out it doesn't f--king work. One has to go through that. For the people who even bother to go through that, most assholes just accept what it is anyway and get on with it." - John Lennon

Yeah, especially with all the 'controversy' that Moore created with the whole 'Miramax didnt want to release it' stuff. Maybe it did convert some people... Still I agree with your sentiment though.

Umm Star Wars made a lot of money, that does not make it factual. In addition to which, how can you even comment on a movie you have not seen?

Well, logically if it's supposed to be a documentary, and it's all clearly bunk, people will not go see it. They will say "this is clearly a crock of shit."

It has been receiving a lot of comments like that though, so probably there is indeed a lot of shit. The way I perceive it is this:

Almost all republicans: This is a total crock of shit.
Half of Dems: This is mostly a crock of shit.

So I think maybe 1/8th of the movie may have some truth to it, accounting for bias.

Thats how I can comment on a movie I haven't seen. By judging other people's reactions to it.

SSM was just a better film than 9/11. And I'm nowhere near a Bush fan. It just wasn't that well made of a movie in my opinion. Especially as a Documentary.

I'd rather watch someone's body get fat and learn a little about fast food than watch Michael Moore get a fat bank account off of the garbage that is F911.

Most of you will come to your senses after the elections and realize what a lame movie it is. I hope you waste your money on the DVD first though. Moore is preaching to the choir and making money off of them as well.

No, which is why I said Moore is preaching to the choir. All you need to see are the previews to know it's a crock. Do you see shitty previews for a movie and still pay to see it?

F911 wasn't even worth downloading for free. I'll listen to serious critics of Bush on the net or on TV but not a senationalist drama queen like Moore. I don't listen to Rush either.

I try and listen to them all. You learn a lot. When I am driving through big city areas I even intentionally try and find Air America or similar local liberal talk radio stations to hear what they are saying. It's good to hear both sides so you can decide where within the middle you believe the truth is.

I saw F911. Don't know if I'd bash it though. Just didn't find that it was that focused as a movie or documentary. It's like there were two different movies in one and he couldn't decide.

I'd pay good money for you to call Randi Rhodes and try to debate her on Air America.

You won't see a movie that you heard is all conjecture, opinion, propoganda, and spin, yet you'll support a war based on all of the above? You are pathetic.

Micheal Moore isnt a political bigot, and supports many republican agendas.

You're just cranky because he hates your hero and shows everyone what a fucking farce he is.

Nope. He is hated because he is just like you. Filled with venom and hate with a couple facts thrown in there. You and him turn a lot of people off. Have a nice day cunt.

No idea what makes you think either Bush or Kerry is deserving of such a title.

How about something more original Kyoukan, after all, 1000 monkies and typewriters can produce the written works of Shakespeare given enough time. Take that as some inspiration.

Good news is that he is now slamming his actual hometown as being a bunch of fatasses. LOL

http://www.mlive.com/news/fljournal/ind ... 324450.xml
DAVISON - Michael Moore, the thinnest man in Davison?

The filmmaker, an erstwhile Davison resident, takes a spin through his hometown for a Rolling Stone cover story this month, in doing so making that sizable claim.

"If you spent a day with me here," Moore jokes, "you'd see I'm the thinnest (expletive) guy in town!"

While the story focuses on Moore's film "Fahrenheit 9/11" and his rise as a political provocateur, it also paints the Flint suburb as a quaint hamlet unlikely to produce someone of Moore's high profile.

City resident shrugged off the characterization.

"It's his town, and it's his right to see it how he wants," said former Mayor Kay Adair, a friend of Moore's family. "Do I wish he had painted a nicer picture? Sure, but we know Mike is going to have fun with us if he mentions Davison at all."
