Don't get too upset, though. I think Canada is just weighing in to show that we have loud, obnoxious, yet entertaining women too. Our's aren't showcased as often on daytime TV.

Parrish sticks by 'idiot' comment

OTTAWA - A day after calling Americans a "coalition of idiots," Ontario member of Parliament Carolyn Parrish said a request from the prime minister hasn't persuaded her to withdraw the controversial comment.

Speaking after a cabinet meeting on Thursday, Prime Minister Paul Martin said he told the MP on Wednesday that her comments, made in reference to the U.S. missile defence system, were not welcome.

"I told her her statements were not acceptable, they should be withdrawn, and she has colleagues who feel strongly about this issue on both sides," Martin said.

Parrish said although she has incredible respect for the prime minister, she will let her comments stand.

"I gave it a lot of thought, but I won't be withdrawing," Parrish said.

She said she's sticking by the dictionary definition of the word 'idiot,' meaning ignorance and lack of knowledge.

I find it hard to care about Canada.. I really do.. I don't know why, but..
Good healthcare system, I'll grant.. good policy out of keeping out of other countries' buisness, I'll grant.. but it's like listening to the village drunk.. once in a while, words of wisdom will come from his mouth, but the rest of the time, it just doesn't matter..

man there is a huge difference between moose and caribou.
Moose can run pretty fast. I know this from when I got chased up a water tower by one in Alaska -_-.

90% of the Canadian Population live within 100 miles of the United States.

They share comedians, music, television, a lot of climate, they use a combined air defense structure, either would financially collapse if they other did, they share common world interests and common goals.

Canada bitches while the US does, but then again if the US had been founded by people who refused to challenge the king, and the French, then we added in a healthy mix of cowards thirty years ago I am sure we would be much more like them. After all both sides practiced genocide against the native populations, and Canadian troops commit atrocities in combat also.

Really, no matter how much those in Canada want to deny it, they are the most American society outside te US. More half brothers than cousins, just the wussy whiny half.

Ya, they're pretty scary. But just letting people know I've never seen caribou here, only moose.
