This has nothing to do with soccer, but- trampoline is an Olympic event? WTF?

Too often it seems it is the peaceful and innocent who are slaughtered. In this a lesson may be found that it may not be prudential to be either too peaceful or too innocent. One does not survive with wolves by becoming a sheep.

Depending on the site you go to, it is Football.

Here is the main page that shows all events and when they will be:

The Football teams entered in to the Olympics are (as far as i know, from the press reports in the UK) "Amateur" teams, so they are normally not playing for high prfile teams, or if they are, they are still young, for example Cristiano Ronaldo is in the portugal squad because of his age, even tho he plays for one of the best English teams.
Some teams (like Brazil and England) Choose not to enter a football team because of time slots or just not being allowed to by the olympic authorities

They have an age cap of 24 or 25 on the soccer teams to keep the big money players out. Should maybe do it for basketball and hockey!
