This sounds like something from a movie script. This happened in a neighboring county.

Police searching for teen after high-speed chase
By CRAIG KAPITAN
Eagle Staff Writer
A Montgomery County teen remained at large Sunday after leading authorities on a high-speed chase with a stolen pickup, then escaping from a state trooper’s custody at the Grimes County Sheriff’s Department.
The chase for the 15-year-old, whose name was not released because of his age, began Saturday afternoon after a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper and a Grimes County sheriff’s deputy spotted the teen speeding.
What followed was an hour-long chase through three counties that reached 105 mph. During the chase, the teen is reported to have run several motorists off the road and purposely bumped into a deputy’s car.
The chase ended about 5 p.m. as the teen was driving along F.M. 149 in east-central Grimes County. He lost control of the white Dodge pickup and ran into a tree, Sheriff Don Sowell said Sunday.
But before authorities could catch the teen, he ran into the woods, Sowell said.
Authorities got a break when a driver who picked up the teen got a call from his wife telling him about the recent excitement as the teen was sleeping in the passenger seat. The driver passed the information on to police, who waited for the teen as the vehicle arrived in Huntsville.
But authorities again lost the teen when he fled while being taken by a Department of Public Safety trooper into the lobby of the sheriff’s department in Anderson to be arraigned.
Now authorities believe the teen could have struck again.
On Sunday, the sheriff’s department was looking for a 1994 black Ford F-350 pickup stolen several miles east of Anderson. Because there hasn’t been a stolen vehicle reported in Grimes County “in ages,” the department is fairly confident the teen is the culprit, Sowell said.
As of Sunday night, neither the truck nor the teen had been found.
