When it comes down to it Bush will more than likely win maybe as much as 5% points and around 290 electorial votes. Everyone already knows what they like and dont like about Bush he has really no more on numbers to drop hes at his low end..on Kerry I see people finding more and more they dont like about his ticket..I just dont see were he can gain much more from and with past polls see he has more dropping room than Bush. The votes for Kerry will almost all be anti-Bush votes which aint gonna cut it.
You seem to miss an important fact. Bush is a very unpopular president and people are looking to replace him, they just dont know if John Kerry is the man for the job. So far the convention is kicking ass in his name, if he comes out of it defined, then i think Bush stands little chance of winning, although he will always have a chance.
This is the way i think about it...almost everyone that voted fore Gore last time wants Kerry, and several people that voted for Bush, are changing there mind and want them out....well at least the people i talk too.
hell, for an example:I come from a fairly strong "liberal republican" backround. Hell, one of my dads friends (mel martinez) is trying to run for a republican seat in the senate. Despite all this most of us are voting for Kerry, or not voting at all in the face of "two very shitty canidates"
I know of many other republicans who are voting democratic this year...and i live in florida
