Hey all quick question ..
i have a thermocouple for my water cooler on my pc and it requires me to place a thermocouple under the waterblock and on the processor.
when i place the thermocouple in this setup my motherboard (asus a7nx-e deluxe) sense's thermal overheat and shuts down. i know this isnt the case but im not sure how to override this protection or if anyone else has had this kind of problem.
if anyone has any guesses id love to hear them. Thanks!

Thermal protection shutdown can be overridden in the BIOS in most cases.
What is the purpose of the thermocouple in this setup? If it's a Peltier cooler you need to be careful as one side must be placed on the CPU and one side goes to the heat dispersion unit...if you have the wrong side down this could cause serious damage to your CPU.
