They have started building bin Laden up before his obvious capture later this fall:

Recent intelligence shows that al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden and his top lieutenant, Ayman al-Zawahiri, are directing the latest threat against the U.S., senior intelligence officials told CNN. "What we know about this most recent information is it's being directed from the senior-most levels of the al Qaeda organization," said one official.

Anybody surprised? Nice timing with the recent selection of Democratic VP candidate as well!

Bin Laden will never be captured, he would kill himself by closing his mouth and refusing to breathe before he would allow himself to be captured

Word from non Western sources is that we already have him, basically. The rumor is that he is being held by Pakistan who will hand him over just before the election in exchange for current and future concessions in the region.

Early September: Home Defense Warning raised to orange

Late September scenario A: The presidential race is close...Announcement that Osama has been captured. Bush wins

Late September scenario B: Bush trails by a large margin...major terrorist attack occurs within the United States followed by Osama being captured....Bush wins.

Late September scenario C: Bush filmed snorting a line of coke off an intern's breast...major terrorist attack occurs in US...Osama captured...Hillary secretly releases pictures to the media of Kerry in the late 70's pounding a young boy in the ass while giving him a reach around...Bush wins

For most of the general stupid populace, it doesn't take much to swing votes. It's been established on another thread that Bush had the stupid vote in 2000 so if he begins to lose them it shouldn't take much to get them back!

Shit, it would be better for the Bush admin if Osama was captured dead (AQ already said they would prefer Bush to win over any other canidate).
